Sony has announced the upcoming 1.75 update will feature the long overdue Blu-Ray 3D Support for the PlayStation 4. The news was first announced by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, after Microsoft had revealed the Xbox One will be getting Blu-ray 3D support soon. Just over an hour ago Playstation's Twitter account has confirmed the 1.75 software update will be out next week with Blu-Ray 3D support.
This announcement is great for those still on the fence to upgrade to PS4 due to lack of Blu-Ray 3D support, but did Microsoft force Sony's early announcment or do you think this was a strategic move to get one up on Xbox One?
The magnificent Prey was once again abandoned as Microsoft disregarded Arkane Austin's achievements and crucified it just for Redfall.
well, not entirely ... the main Arkane studio i.e Arkane Lyon's still there ...
Its only that, the sequel will take more time now ... after Blade & Dishonored 3
Not even this Prey
Still longing for a sequel to the original Prey with Tommy
The studio didn't even want to call this Prey, it was just Bethesda being dicks to them for some reason.
Keep dreaming then as Prey and Dishonored 2 did not sell well enough to get sequels.
Hence we got Deathloop and Redfall instead.
Atlus wins over gamers yet again.
4.8? This game is literally one of the best modern JRPGs. I’d give it the perfect score.
TheGamer Writes "The tennis sim is as good as ever, but is lacking basic features that make this worthwhile at this stage."
3D Support too early. More like a year and a half too late. This feature should have been on PS4 from Nov 2013.
They can't just program features on the fly, so it was already ready to be part of a bigger update or Sony was making a strategic move. All it really shows us is that Sony is working on features. I don't think they anticipated the demand for some of the leagacy PS3 features like media support.
Or its just a big coincidence and we should all be glad that both are getting this specific feature.
nobody really knows. but we got it now so meh. :p
Seeing how ps3 had Bluray 3D support i'd say no.
It's said to be arriving next week.
The update would take weeks if not over a month to put together... so nope.
