Did you miss the PC MUSTARD RACE that conveniently showed up the next month after PS4's "8gb GDDR5" games console reveal? I even know a friend of a friend who said "I'm gaming on PC from now on" at the time but still got an Xbone for 500 quid and is a closet Xbone gamer first.

Now similar people, like moldybread as a prime example, is all over XboneX, revealing their true colours all along and now openly talking about gaming on Xbone when it was already clear they were gaming on Xbone the entire gen. What happened to that really powerful PC and what could XboneX possibly provide the likes of this person? They were just afraid to admit they were willingly playing the worse possible versions of games that couldn't even make great use out of a 2007 1080p TV.

This game is more than likely going to look and run better on XboneX than PS4 Pro. There I said it. @Andrew well I was going to write to you a decent thing but it went past an apparent 4000 character limit and after all that typing, it was a complete buzz kill that when I hit the "X" button to get rid of the "message" telling me it was over 4000 characters because when I did it deleted my response.. but I disagree with what you say. One most player pools on console are bigger than PC, and going by combined sales of consoels there will always be console gamers like myself and probably you mainly, if you have a PC. PC imo, is good for glitchy survival games not on console like DayZ, H1z1, PUBG(atm), etc, or RTS games like Total War and StarCraft or MMOs like WoW(Even then we are seeing more MMOs on console). Otherwise everything else imo is better on console and ppl prefer to play on console. And for the last part, it should look better than the PS4 Pro, unlike Xbox One and PS4 where they have the same amount of RAM, the Xbox One X (along with being better in every way from speed, cpu clock speeds, etc) it almost has an extra 4GB of GDDR5 to work with along with a VERY dev friendly SDK, unlike the Xbox One SDK which was a nightmare in the early days

Forza 7 is outdated because of PC2 and whatever they want to talk about that week. (Really arrogant and nothing more than hyping his own product given how stellar Forza is).

Claiming they had a DLC path for PC1, and quickly moved onto PS2 with minimal DLC support restricted to 1 car a month and I think 4 new tracks.

Choosing to do a WiiU version and abandon last gen consoles because they wanted to look to the future. Eventually cancelled the WiiU version saying it wasn't powerful enough....thus calling into question their notion of power and what can be done or how to use it.

Personally, I'd say Forza supports your argument about racing games without PC2, and the rest is just subjective nonsense which has more evidence against that being true as it's more likely they'll be equal, or PS4 will actually have much more 3rd party support.....because they already have more 3rd party support.

I read somewhere that the PC version of PCars has up to three times the amount of polygons used for the cars compared to the console versions.
I haven't played PCars on the PS4 but I can tell you that the xb1 version looks pretty crap, Forza 4 on the 360 looks better IMO. And don't get me started on the controller.

There will surely be differences. The X1X is more powerful, so that should go without saying. Whether "significant" or not is another matter. For example, the original Project CARS on PC looked better than the PS4 version, but it wasn't a complete shut-out (which was ironic, given P.Cars began as a PC exclusive).

Things could be different for the X1X, though.

Plus, the difference between the PS4 Pro and One X are nearly 1:1 with what we saw out of the originals of both consoles. Thus, One X versions of games should have obvious advantages over Pro titles. PC devs, while talented, are a small team, and while their game is pretty, there are better looking games out there, and while they may offer up more on the X1X, if we're to take them at their word, if the visible difference is exceptionally high, then it means they really didn't put too much effort into the PS4P version IMO, and given their penchant for being more PC fan boys in their comments, I'd say that's likely going to happen over having them just optimizing every system to it's fullest.

That all depends on how you define "significant". As a PC gamer, I have yet to play a game this gen that looks "significantly" better on my PC than it does my PS4 (or Pro if playing at higher than 1080p). This tells me that either their standard of what is considered significant is relatively low, or this is just PR speak. Because, let's he honest, the improvement gap between Pro and X1X will be much smaller than the current gap between PS4 and PC. So if it ain't significant on the latter, it sure as hell won't be significant on the former. I know Xbox fans might not like to hear this, but it really is basic math.

If the Pro does 1440p, the One X can't do 2160p natively 'cos it's twice the amount of pixels and a GPU can't suddenly push more pixels because it has faster RAM or more RAM or any of the other specs that are better.

FYI, pushing pixels has a 1 to 1 relationship to the Tflops of a GPU, but you should know this by now ;)

Anyhoo, many people claim they see significant improvements on the PS4 over the standard X1, now those same people will see the same type of improvements but the other way around...

Besides, some other improvements besides resolution will probably be more noticeable. The faster and more RAM can make sure they can up the resolution of the textures a bit, so if they do that, that will be noticeable as well...

Actually, the higher resolutions get , the harder to tell the difference. This is to do with the human eye. It's easier to spot the difference between 900p and 1080p than between 2K and 4K. Once an image becomes sharp (so anything 1080p going upwards) your eye naturally sees less and less differences, so then you have to go looking for them.
Thats why we have sites like Digital Foundry, without them nobody would have a clue about resolutions, if someone said it was a 4K video and was actually only running at 2K, unless they informed us we would all assume it was 4K and how many of us could actually tell it was not?
There is no point going above 4K in my opinion, it will be wasted resource, devs should just push framerates and graphical fidelity in the next gen. Use the extra power for better AI and better gameplay experience. The fight for resolution is lost on so many people as they simply don't care.

I think most people don't realize, or forget, that these devs like to hype up power as if they can do these amazing things with it that no one else can do, and everyone else is behind them in terms of things like graphics, consumer relations, or general driving simulation design.

I know PC is well respected, and the first one was good for what little I played of it, and the new one looks decent, but they are a small dev, and they have limited resources to really provide a game on the level of Forza or GT. They hype up power and new tech as something that will make their games more amazing. At one point in time they even said the WiiU would provide the best experience for last gen for PC, then cancelled it because they apparently can't design their games around the power they're targeting, which indicates to me, they rely on power to overcome the limitations of their resources.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone is even really interested in playing/owning these games or if they just give these games attention so that they can use them as ammunition to fend against whatever console they feel so insecure about not owning; or owning depending on how you look at it, damn shame.

Every 3rd party game dev team/publisher that squeaks a little bit about how there will be some benefit of owning it on a XB1X gets people all giddy. News Flash, if you go out and blow $500 on; yet again, on another XB1 then I would hope to god that you're experience differs from that of the more standard, lower priced machines ... and I would HOPE Devs take advantage of this new "technology" that Microsoft has presented them with...otherwise in the end you just come out looking like a sucker.

Stop pretending like something you paid more for having a slight advantage in one way or another comes as a big surprise to anyone that's what you pay for, I mean ... it's not as if that shouldn't be expected right? [thinks back to the initial release of both consoles in 2013/14] ... Oh ... wait.

Honestly I'm just tired of seeing Console Gamers talk about their hardware as if their rigs/gaming PC's or something. Console War has been dead since like 2015 we know who won and we know who lost so get over it and move on ... go play some games or something. Stop talking about your consoles like they're PC's because they aren't, stop thinking you'll get 4k, 60fps because you won't, with consoles it's one or the other (preferably frame rate over resolution for me), never both at the same time. Better luck next gen, which was this year for Nintendo, will be early 2018 for MS; apparently with the way people talk, and what ... 2020 for Sony ... yeah I guess 3-4 years sounds about right, sounds pretty reasonable.

During the ps360 gen i almost sold my PS3 and bought a 360 because the first couple years were not good. While the 360 had good games. Then it turned and I'm glad I stuck it out.

I keep seeing people gloat PC has the better version but that's only for the minority who have spent lots of money like myself. The rest of PC gamers which is the majority play at 1080P or 1440P. The Xbox One X console is great value for the money compared to how much an equivalent performing PC costs. I will get one for my living room to go with my 65" HDR 4K Sony X9300D TV. My Ryzen 7, 1800X, Asus Crosshair VI Hero ROG motherboard with 16 Gigs of G.Skill Flare X 3200MHz ram paired with a Corsair 1200Watt Platinum PSU and Samsung 4K 28" 1ms monitor and windows installed on a Samsung SSD drive will remain in my room awaiting my new Vega GPU when launched. I currently have a PS4 Pro and an Xbox One S( Xbox One X in November) and a Nintendo Switch and the AMD Ryzen7 1800X gaming PC. Best of all worlds for each of there exclusives etc.

Well the XOX as 1.8 Teraflops Extra, they are not going to stop it at 4.2, and then the ps5 will have 2 or 3 maybe 4 TF more than the xox, so it's a loop, where in the next 2-3 years the xbox one x will deliver the best experience

Just like a lot of games run better on PS4 than XB1...only barely slightly in most cases, but sometimes that matters with certain games or too certain people.

Either way....every handheld or console or PC is worth owning.

Just buy games...play them and have fun.
