Nintendo advertised that the joy con can be used 1 per player in 2 player modes. So another lie by nintendo. And look at all the nintentards defend it like it's okay.

septemberindecember2541d ago

They can be used two per player. There will obviously be limitations, like first person view games because there is only one analog stick.

Nintendo never advertised that all games can make use of the split joy con method, and it is clearly advertised on the packaging and on the online store which controllers they are compatible with.

Of all the things you can try to call Nintendo out on, you chose this? Pathetic.

Neonridr2541d ago

proof to this initial advertisement? Or are we going to go off some word someone said that one time in that really obscure interview that now cannot be found anywhere?

cry much MVGeneral?

Istolla2541d ago

Well it can be used 1 per player in two player modes. They didn't say all multiplayer games will only require 1 Joycon per player.

Secondly Nintendo doesn't make this game...

Istolla2541d ago

This game isn't made by Nintendo you goof...

sloth33952542d ago

you need to be able to move the camera around so I'm guessing that's why

porkChop2542d ago

Considering the game makes full use of controllers, why would this surprise anyone? It's not the type of game where using one joy-con is feasible.

The website should be called obviouspixel

Well yeah, camera control of course. Probably better just to buy a pro controller.

8/10 first game are for Switch. Another nice week for Nintendo in Japan. I find though the Ys VIII numbers low for its release.

Razmiran2123d ago

Its the third time it releases over there Vita in 2016, ps4 some time later and switch now, so its not going to sell as much

michellelynn09762122d ago

Ys VIII worldwide has done really well. But, Japan is meh.

Razmiran2122d ago

Oh I didnt know
I loved the game tho, went out and bought 1-3 in steam yesterday

michellelynn09762121d ago

NIS put out a vague statment saying Ys VIII had a bigger week on the Switch than the PS Vita and PS4 versions (separately, not combined). So let's wait for the final numbers.

Japanese hardware sales as of 07/01/2018 according to Media Create:

PS4 (released 02.22.2014): 6,851,509*

SWITCH (released 03.03.2017): 4,506,235

*includes Pro sales

Switch is doing very well in Japan. Curious how sales will be when Pokémon and Smash release.

Sgt_Slaughter2123d ago

Pokemon and Smash will make the hardware sales absolutely explode in Japan. If the Switch isn't ahead of PS4 by then (which I think can happen), it'll definitely do it after those release.

Geobros2123d ago

wow!! Interesting analysis. so date to date, Switch has better numbers than PS4 in Japan.

michellelynn09762122d ago

Octopath will be the game that dethrones Mario Tennis. Easily.

ZeekQuattro2122d ago

Switch sales are continuing to climb in Japan while PS4 sales seem to have peaked in Japan. A new Gundam game releases and sales went down from the previous week. The Crew 2 didn't seem to help either. Crazy. KMH 3 can't come out soon enough. You can't blame this one PS4 stock issues.
