GTAV PC Rumors - Low VS High Comparison, NVIDIA GTX770 Not Powerful Enough For 60FPS At Max Settings

DSOGaming writes: "According to NFOHUMP’s member ‘Neon‘, an NVIDIA GTX 770 Lighting Edition (accompanied with an i5 3570K) is not enough for constant 60fps at max settings (even without MSAA enabled). Still, Neon provided a new image from the game’s graphics options and according to him, the aforementioned PC system was able to run the game with constant 60fps using the following settings. Moreover, Neon shared a comparison between the game's Low and High settings."

The settings menu was claimed fake. The Low vs High screenshot comparison was not (as well as the GTX770 rumor which explains the 2GB VRAM usage)

You will get a lot of disagrees from all the PC guys because this game does not do 60fps and Xbox One does. I am happy to be able to play the game in HD quality the game looked great on my Xbox 360 and looks even better on Xbone.

U r defo trolling no one can be that deluded! but just to clarify, GTA 5 is 30fps on xbox one and PS4, at native 1080p while being native 720p at 25 to 29fps on PS3 and xbox 360.

Right now Crysis 3 with realism mod is the great graphically intense game right now and I hope gtav PC with icenhancer2 mod can push things to a higher level

Icenhancer is cool for GTA Iv cause it adds some things DX9 didn't support in the first place. DX11 is what GTA V will run on. So, reflections, Subsurface scattering, ambient occlusion better lighting, etc will likely already be in the game. Hell, they were in MP3 on PC.

Secondly? Other factors are a huge consideration on a game like GTA and if your 770 isn't doing more than 60fps it's just as likely the cpu or the asset streaming being a bottleneck. The source claims to be using an i5 and also claims he can get 60 by decreasing some stuff? In GTA4 you could increase some setting to ridiculous high amounts that screwed with your FPS. Some of them weren't beneficial to gameplay.

I have a 970 but I won't be expecting completly smooth 60fps. It's too tempting to up things like traffic density, shadow resolution etc and have it look incredible - all that stuff comes at a cost. Games *should* let you push them past the limits of common hardware. Then they'll look better for longer. It's an advantage not a problem. Just don't feel shortchanged when you can't flawlessly 100% every slider.

I completely agree. The only games I have problems with are games that have stutter or microstutter no matter what resolution or other settings you run them at (which are extremely rare). I don't mind demanding games at all, especially if they look good enough to deserve to be that demanding, or have a large scale or a lot going on.

Whether this is true or not, I seriously doubt most people will be able to play it on max @ 60fps without a beast CPU and a GPU the likes of the GTX 970/980.

I suspect I'd be somewhere between 30-50fps with a 760 and an i5 3570k.

I have an old machine with GTX 480 SLI that my kid used with an i5 Sandy bridge that will run this max.....my box has SLI 780ti and I guarantee a single with an i7 4600 will blow the doors off. You don't give enough credit to Nvidia. I will also say, when we all choose to PC game, we expect cards and proc's get obsolete....stinks but true so one day your statement will be the case, not yet though.

Well if I'm mistaken then good, it can only get better.

I've chosen the bare minimum of what to expect, so it's worst case scenario - which is it'll run about the same as GTA IV. I do believe most people will be CPU limited, however. It's par for the course with titles as detailed as GTA.

Even 30-50fps is better than the 15-30 I have on the 360.
