I would just be worried with a 2013 release. Development studios are either just finishing up their titles in time for the holidays or have some blockbusters coming early next year. I don't believe they can develop and produce a AAA title in less than a year working on new hardware. I would be a little skeptical about the quality of the software coming if that was the case. Who knows though..

according to the information at the end of the article header it says 3DS, PC, PS3, Vita, Wii U and Xbox 360, so I am guessing that's the platforms it is for.

The fact that they literraly just updated the date on the calendar, added some new player names and then hit re-compile is ridiculous. EA is sinking to an all time low here. It's this copy-and-paste bull$shit I would only expect from Infinity Ward..

Remember though, just because we see something at E3 doesn't mean we can expect to be lining up for launch day sometime in 2013. The Wii U demoed for the first time at E3 2011 and still didn't launch until almost a year and a half later. So even if you saw something at E3 2013, I don't expect to see the consoles hit stores until sometime in 2014.

Even as a Nintendo faithful, I highly doubt we are going to see the sales we saw with the Wii repeat itself with the Wii U. Obviously Nintendo was able to capitalize on a very casual market to go along with their usual die hard fans. The Wii U isn't a scary console to look at when you compare it to the Kinect or PS3, and the main controller resembles an ipad to many, something that a lot of older people are familiar with using. So you may still be surprised at how many purchase the new...

I just hope he didn't get paid to publish that rubbish.

This article is written by an idiot. He actually believes that the Wii U is less powerful than the 360 and significantly less powerful than the PS3. First off, the 360 and PS3 are basically on even ground, all the comparisons between games are usually almost identical. Secondly, we know for a fact that the Wii U GPU is significantly more powerful than either of the two current gen systems. The CPU is in question right now, but even with a lower clocked CPU, the fact that it is newer in de...

lol, didn't we have this song and dance when you guys said the PSP was going to kill the DS in sales? Well here we are again, I feel like I am on a merry-go-round now with the 3DS and Vita. Developers are going to go where the sales potential is. And the idea of releasing a game where there are over 20 million users vs 2.5 million users is a lot of $$$ potentially in their pocket.

Superior tech doesn't mean anything nowadays. Nintedo just knows the handheld mark...

so in 2 years time when what, 5 million people own Vita's the 3DS will have an install base of what, 50 million?

4264d ago 5 agree6 disagreeView comment

yeah, 2.5 million sales in over 3/4 of a year since launching.. That's not a rocky start, that's a disaster for any dev looking to bring their games over to the system. With an install base of 10% of the 3DS, why would a developer not want to put their game on the 3DS where they could get 10X the amount of sales potentially?

Amnesia is a brilliant game! Can't get enough of it.

Ubisoft has said it costs less than 1 million dollars to do a port from 360 to the Wii U. Even if they just ported the 360 version over, you don't think that Rockstar would sell enough copies to make back their 1 million bucks? You're crazy to think that.

ANYTIME I play MW3, BF3 or Halo it is ALWAYS little 12 year old wanna be gangsta's who do nothing but whine and swear when I play on Xbox Live. So stop saying Nintendo is full of kids. Most of the pre-teens...

Glad to see that Nintendo users aren't getting screwed by missing out on some content. Seems like they are giving us the definitive version with all the added content plus some extras.

lol, the author does mention it in the article, but he calls it Skyward Song XD

good list, although I would have put the Metroid Prime Trilogy as a must own for any Wii/Wii U owner. That series is simply a must own, and the fact that you get all 3 in one package with updated wiimote controls for the first two (since they were on Gamecube), what more could you ask for?

shame that you skipped the new Goldeneye. That game was quite good.

4265d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

yeah, and then they release a $600 console which nobody buys.. If the Vita showed them anything, it's that just because it's more powerful doesn't mean jack $hit..

lol - you think Perfect Dark Zero is groundbreaking? Wow.. Personally if the console on launch day can put out a game that runs 1080p/60 frames per second, then that is a huge accomplishment for a system that devs are barely scraping the surface on. If you compare launch games from the PS360 to games they are putting out now, they are night and day different in terms of visual quality and overall scope. Imagine what developers could do in 2-3 years time once they fully learn how to utilize...

when a game launches simultaneously on all 3 systems and it looks and runs the best on the Wii U, which version do you think will be dubbed the definitive version (PC's aside).

It's funny, all the Sony and MS fanboys used to make fun of the Wii because it had shitty graphics, didn't matter how good the game was. Now the Wii U has better graphics than the PS360, and fanboys still find a reason to hate on it. You guys have to grow up. Oh and if you are waiting ...

I'm excited at the idea of having a TV screen free of clutter because it can all be down in the gamepad, thus making for a more cinematic experience.

Plus new ways to interact with games aren't necessarily a bad thing. It all comes down to how the devs use the device. Sure, they can just slap a minimap there because they are lazy, or they can be like Ubisoft and make different uses for the device.

4265d ago 8 agree2 disagreeView comment

Sure would be funny to watch all those Sony fanboys who were cursing the Wii U saying "Wait till the PS4 releases next year, it will blow the Wii U out of the water"..

Obviously this doesn't mean anything necessarily, and we could still see the PS4 in the next year or so. But given Sony's financial position and the poor sales of the Vita, I don't see them rushing out anytime soon with a new console that could potentially be overpriced and flop.
