How's changing your psn username coming along with the increase monthly payment?
@dantesparda
I can read pretty well.
"So in *just* 4 hours of work for a $40 USD game they got everything better compared to XB1: "
Notice I didn't say PS4 Pro but XB1. That is because the article specifically said the XB1X improvements were compared to XB1.
All in just 4 hours of work. Just imagine putting even 40 hours of work.
So in *just* 4 hours of work for a $40 USD game they got everything better compared to XB1:
1800p native (3200 x 1800)
Ultra textures
Better frame rates
Higher shadow map resolution
Farther draw distance
All of these using an older Unreal Engine 3 and beta XB1X SDK. Pretty good performance and bang-for-the-bucks for just 10% of a work week.
No I just want to play on PS Now and wait as 43rd player in the queue. I ain't got time or money to buy all these subscriptions.
MS is doing it for PC hence they allowed OEMs to use HoloLens inside-out tracking on HMD.
But it'll look awesome on all the multiplats.
It still matters. Render everything at normal 4K/60 then downscale to 1080p/60. All automatic.
No but it certainly help with a ton of multiplat where top selling games are played.
That's because MS was playing a waiting game for their HoloLens tech to catch up. MS vision for VR is inside-out tracking (no need for external camera) and wireless connection. MS already has the inside-out tracking nailed with HoloLens now they just need wireless VR to work. Guess who just bought a wireless VR solution? That's right AMD! Combine those two and you have VR the way it's supposed to be. Not only that, MS VR will also be compatible with all Windows 10 PC and laptops ...
@Aenea
What you said is false. The PS4 Pro will output 4K games as 1080p to a 1080p TV *without* supersampling. The PS4 Pro takes a game that can run say native 2160p and render it at 1080p instead when connected to a 1080p TV. It literally render directly to 1080p instead of render at native 2160p then downsample to 1080p then output to TV. There is no downsampling done at all at the system level. The game developer has to INTENTIONALLY add supersampling into the game and ...
It especially didn't matter in 2015 when even Sony's executives said it was "sparse". In fact, an article claimed the spareness was actually genius!!! I am not making it up at all.
No worries. XB1 will automatically super-sample all 4K games to 1080p on 1080p TV. This is all automatic so game developers don't have to do the hard work.
His sales was not counted. Smart people who wanted to play on Xbox One and PC bought it on digital.
No but replay at 30 fps means they can increase the quality which is not reflective of actual game play at 60 fps.
To expand further the X360 has 10 MB of eDRAM on an external daughter chip (with respect to GPU). The eSRAM in XB1 is a more advanced version of it.
They can do both.
Obviously the service is still going so money is good.
BC was always planned since they had to add physical hardware into the XB1 chip to get good performance. Otherwise everything in software was not possible on certain games.
