Good article, but inconsistant, for example, no unified online experience = incorrect. As well as coming off a slow PSP. Very wrong, because the PSP competes with Nintendo DS, which it got bonzaid, but did above expectation. In reality, the PS2 is still outselling X360 how the hell can you explain that?!

Did you guys work at an electronics retail? DVD players were 150-200 at the time. The transition was very slow coming out of VHS.

The whole purpose is to move the industries forward. Think about how many people will be introduced to linux after this.

There are very easy ways to resolve that. Ever use xfire? Different games, one network, however you can have containers or different buddy lists available within your master buddy list... pretty easy stuff, it's all software so it can always be improved.
So what. Both systems can receive firmware when sony is ready with an online scheme, they'll release it :shrugs:
The Sixaxis was light, NOT flimsy. It felt Solid but light... its strange, my brain has a hard time forgetting the feeling.
The R+L'2s were something to get used to, they were rubbery and extended. It felt like you were holding a rubber trigger that would break if you pressed too hard. I tried pressing it hard, and of course it didnt, it just feels that way. But you get used to it very fast.
Final notes, the thing is a beauty, it extremely sexy, the chrome trims...
Everybody was having a great time around the kiosk. The PS3s in the glass were only shows, the real machines were tucked away.
I wasnt able to verify if they were using HDMI. For one there are video composites on the side of the TV, but thats typical, and its possible their using other composites behind the casing using the cable Sony supplies with the PS3.
My other idea is that HDMIs are expensive, but who knows Sony threw a Bravia in there so why not the HDM...

It was pretty cool think outside the box... like your brain wants to count 2 or 4.. but its clearly 3 but it got redundant.. I think 2 of those were more than enough, they shouldve changed it up.
Alot of people in the industry as well as us, kept using the "it wont appeal to casual gamers" stick to beat the Sony brand name to a pulp. Not too shabby, it had her "intrigued" and she did say it was definitly "fair" price.
She also proved that the casual gamer would not buy one, atleast until a "fair" price drop.
