Cannon Fodder 3 review (Digital Spy)

Digital Spy writes: "Cannon Fodder 3 is a game best played in short bursts. Extended sessions prove slightly tedious, while a few poor design choices mar what is otherwise an enjoyable, albeit shallow, action game. The visuals are bright and colourful and the locations are varied, even if the objectives aren't. Provided you're not expecting a game with much depth or that's oozing innovation, Cannon Fodder 3 proves that virtual war can still be a lot of fun."

Cannon Fodder 3 Review | NowGamer

NowGamer: "There are times when nostalgia wins out; when you realise this is an actual Cannon Fodder sequel, but that’s quickly squashed down and washed away by a glitchy, boring and hugely underwhelming experience. Review of Cannon Fodder 3 [HalfBeard's HUD]

I was too young to play the original Cannon Fodder but I do have hazy memories of watching some one else play it on some sort of ancient steam-powered computer. As such I didn’t expect a whole lot from Cannon Fodder 3, a sequel done by a Russian team that presumably have nothing to do with the series’ original creators Sensible Software. After a dodgy tutorial mission I was thrust outwards on my mission to exterminate racial stereotypes across the globe. Imagine my surprise 3 hours later finding myself still playing and, in fact, having a lot of fun. From HalfBeard's HUD.
