TQcast: Zombii Attack Review - "It's Worse Than Amy"

TQ author writes: There are a lot of times where I will give something the benefit of the doubt, but this isn’t one of them. For some ungodly reason, these pieces of unpolished, boring, and uninspired garbage always seem to find their way onto WiiWare. Zombii Attack is the perfect example of what not to do when making a video game. Every single aspect of it is terrible, and this may just be the first time ever that a game receives a 0 rating from me, so what do you say, let’s find out what’s so bad about it, shall we?

Wiiloveit.com: Zombii Attack - WiiWare Review

"Pretend for a moment that you're a game developer who is fed up with Nintendo's quality control on WiiWare -- an understandable concern that you, as an actual consumer, can surely relate to. Wanting to be part of the solution, you decide to challenge Nintendo's QA team and develop a game so bad that you know it couldn't possibly pass inspection...but it does. And now, not only did you position yourself as being part of the problem, you also have to deal with the brunt of stern criticism towards your team for a game you slapped together to prove a point, but hadn't intended for it to go public. This is about the only logical explanation I can muster up as to why Zombii Attack even exists." --- Wiiloveit.com

Destructoid: Zombii Attack Review

Destructoid: When you go to the store and buy a pet rock, a fake piece of poo, or a movie called L3GiT-Sh*theads The Movie, you shouldn't go home with your purchase expecting much fun upon your arrival. That's the kind of game Zombii Attack is. If you've done any research at all on this title (like, just reading the name should be enough) and you're still under the illusion that it might be a well-made game, then you probably only have yourself to blame.

Gamer Limit Review: Zombii Attack

Over the past few years Nintendo’s online shop has developed a bit of a reputation. WiiWare once was looked at as a platform for indie developers and small studios to showcase their work. However, in reality, it’s something more akin to a dumping ground for sloppy, poorly made games that no-one really wants.

Despite that negative distinction, the service has accumulated a number of outstanding titles that clearly stand apart from cashgrabs and shovelware. Unfortunately for Wii owners searching for the next diamond in the rough, Zombii Attack just isn’t one of them.

Still interested? Well then, read on for the full breakdown of the latest gem to join the Wii’s library.
