GB: "Fumito Ueda’s classic, Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, were two of the only games last generation that could arguably be called ‘art’, along with a few others like Metroid Prime and Okami. These two games were always considered very unusual- they still are. And for good reason. Both of them give off a vibe of isolation like no other game, and have to be the two most atmospheric games on the PS2. Add to that the fact that the only battles Shadow of the Colossus contains are boss battles, and we have on our hands two games with a very unique structure. Both of them were, however, extremely good games. Do they still hold up well after so many years of release? Does this HD re-release do them justice?"
YouTube’s ‘reznoire’ has shared three new videos, showing three PS3 exclusive games running on the best Playstation 3 emulator, RPCS3. These three games are The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Heavenly Sword and Journey.
Technically Shadow of the Colossus is a PS2 remaster on PS3 but it is interesting seeing the progress made with emulation.
Endlessbacklog.com podcast on Shadow of the Colossus, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and Uncharted 4.
Favourite video game boss fights for me are in The Shadow of the Colossus, very few other games have such good boss fight design.
I'd probably go with Terra's Armor from KH2 FM. The very assence of overpowered superboss, even Sephiroth can't put a finger on him... or rather it.
I thought the Storm King fight in Demon's Souls using the Storm Ruler Sword was effing awesome.
