"Should you decide to download The L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass you will get the following:

The Broderick Detective Suit
The Sharpshooter Detective Suit
The Badge Pursuit Challenge & Button Man Suit
The Naked City Vice Case
A Slip Of The Tongue Traffic Case
Nicholson Electroplating Arson Case
Reefer Madness Vice Case"

So, they cut some content, only to release them over Xbox Live for 10 bucks? And I thought EA was doing a horrible thing with their online passes. This is even worse.

Yi-Long4725d ago (Edited 4725d ago )

... which is THE reason why I didn't pick this game up at release, but will wait for a complete edition to be released in a year orso so I can pick that up for a fraction of the price...

If they had just released the game with all the content included from the get-go, or the promise that DLC would be free, they would definitely have earned 50 bucks from me.

Now, they'll get 25 bucks tops.

Marcello4725d ago

Well Rockstar will be getting 0 bucks from cos for some odd reason they didnt release it for PC, now i shall just borrow a friends Xbox 360 who has the game.

LOL @ pretending it's 'horrible'..

Like Rockstar is the first or the last company that made a huge game and planned it's DLC content.

The DLC was promotional and came free if you pre-ordered from Gamestop and other shops..The original part was that all had different cases.

Just played 'Naked' last night and loved it. Was actually suprised at how it was one of the longer cases. I think it's smart that Rockstar made a complete pack to get ALL of the DLC at once.

Either way..it's optional. Great game EASILT GOTY contender..

That's what I'm doing as well. All the exclusive pre-order bonuses pissed me off.

Dee_914724d ago

well you wouldve got a few of those free if you pre ordered ..

hopefully some story based dlc like gta 4 for like 15-20bucks each pack for 8-10hrs of story

xPhearR3dx4725d ago (Edited 4725d ago )

Wow I had this story reported 21min ago and this site gets approved first? What a joke.

http://n4g.com/news/774280/...

Not to mention I got reports out the ass for not included L.A. Noire in the title but this article doesn't? I guess they get a "Free Pass" if you know what I mean lol

Disccordia4724d ago

Sadly, the way N4G works is the newest submissions appear closer to the top when it really should be the other way around and so yours gets pushed down the list and less people see it.

Darkseeker4725d ago

Seven cases for 10$? Not bad, considering this is like one third of the main story.

Kurisu4725d ago

That's 4 cases, not 7. Will this pass be released over PSN when it goes live? I already have a code for The Naked City case and Badge Pursuit Challenge that I need to redeem!

Darkseeker4725d ago

Sorry, seems you're right. However, might as well count 5 cases, since the Badge Pursuit Challenge may not be a case, it's still gonna provide more gameplay.

SkylineR4724d ago

Yeah same here. It sucks that pre-ordering the ps3 version didn't really net us anything super special as the "exclusive pre-order bonus" stuff will be available to download less than a month later. I could've saved money by not pre-ordering and could've put it towards this DLC package once psn was back up. :-\

LiamIRL824725d ago

Wow Capcom really inspired other publishers to fleece their customers.

Cheeseknight284724d ago

The difference is Crapcom is charging $5 for one character, and $1 for a friggin' CPU battle (MvC3). There's also the pointless suits for Dead Rising among offenders. Scamco is equally as bad, Katamari packs were $4-5 dollars each at launch (It was about $50 for all of them), Vesperia has gold and items you can buy for a small advantage, and DV/Yoda were $5 each for Soul Calibur.

This, by comparison, is a bargain. $10 for 4 cases and the suits? I'm in. The Naked case was one of the longest in the main game and I'm hoping the other 3 are the same. Not to mention Achievements/Trophies for each case.

BLAKHOODe4725d ago

If those are all the preorder cases/stuff.. I'd blow $10 on them. Eventually. I haven't finished the main game's cases yet.. getting there.

L.A. Noire And Bully — Rockstar's Lost Gems That Deserve A Sequel As Much As GTA

Hanzala from eXputer: "I do appreciate GTA 6, Rockstar, but if I could trade it for a new L.A. Noire or a Bully game, I'd do so in a heartbeat."

Skuletor30d ago

How are they lost? You can get L.A. Noire on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch and Bully is on the PS5 and Xbox Series too.

Psychonaut8530d ago

I want a new Manhunt game. But that will never happen.

Demetrius30d ago

Mfs are too sensitive nowadays and would cry instead of being concerned bout real world problems

Demetrius30d ago

Whenever gta 6 launch we won't be getting another rockstar title for another 10 years lol but on the positive side they bou to come back n show how open world supposed to be done 🔥

Skuletor30d ago

I won't expect any singleplayer DLC like IV's The Lost & Damned or The Ballad of Gay Tony after it launches either

12 Years Later, L.A. Noire is Still an Excellent Experience

There was a lot to love about Rockstar and Team Bondi's 2011 open world title.

One I never finished. I've been looking at the ps4 version off Amazon the last few months just never bit

Knightofelemia135d ago

It's worth playing LA Noire is one of my favorite Rockstar games. But I would also check out pawnshops or thrift stores if you want the game dirt cheap. Someone may have been dumb enough to dump the game.

andy85135d ago

Baffles me when people have these opinions about acclaimed games 😂

RhinoGamer88136d ago

100% agree... not perfect, but an engaging/refreshing experience.

sagapo135d ago

Agree, at time of release those facial expressions were amazing! They still hold strong even today imo.
The game on its own was good. Something fresh, but sidequests were a bit meh after a while.

Nacho_Z136d ago

I picked it up on sale recently, going to play it next summer. I'll get more out of it this time, first time around I treated the open world like it was GTA and goofed about, whereas now I'll play it with more respect. RDR2 has trained me well.

I also hadn't read Raymond Chandler at the time so presumably that'll add another layer of enjoyment too.

1nsomniac136d ago (Edited 135d ago )

Absolutely stunning game. So underrated. Played through it again last year and it still stands up so well. Like many of rockstars games it’s actually a far better experience on PC. I didn’t enjoy it as much on console. Completed it at least 3 times on pc.

The rumours of a sequel are awesome news despite the fact I think Rockstar are now the shell of the company they once were.

SyntheticForm135d ago

Team Bondi made a hell of a game.
