As a kid i had some heart attacks playing this game. The soundtrack right on point with those close calls. I love this game.
Split/Second was one of the game I enjoyed playing. In fact it's still the most popular video on my YouTube channel. It's a gameplay of Split/Second posted 15 years ago. This past month 25 people viewed it. Split/Second is a favourite amongst racing gamers worldwide.

I still play my PSP. Sadly the UMD drive has stopped working, but I modded it to still be able to play my games (and then some). Such a great little portable.
The game looks like fun and here is the announcement trailer.
A remake is a good way to go. This was a niche Japan-only JRPG.
Hopefully thsi time they'll give it an English release.
Bit odd that Japanese games have come under fire for being under par, yet many like myself wish that this title comes West.
