"To the TDU2 community,
Thank you for your continued support and feedback. Our community has been amazing and helped us quickly identify a number of issues, which we have made significant progress in addressing in the upcoming patches."
Richard writes: "The series may have a cult following, but ten years on Test Drive Unlimited 2 still upsets me. It was one of my most anticipated games ever, with a concept years ahead of what Forza Horizon could achieve. But it remains one of the buggiest launches of a game I can remember, completely tarnishing my memory of it."
DSOGaming writes: "TDU World is an Online Server and Mod Pack Project for Test Drive Unlimited 2 that is currently available for download."
Such an underrated game, the only problem I had with it was the car physics on anything more powerful the a Golf GTI. But to me this was the original Forza Horizon
Game Informer - It's hard to imagine what to do in a car game except race other cars, and yet with Test Drive Unlimited 2, developer Eden Games found a way to expand the genre's horizons enough to offer an experience that's slightly different from your average racer. Eden's ambition came with a cost, but Test Drive Unlimited 2 is a game that I remember fondly and appreciate for the chances it takes.
This game gets a bad rap, but I enjoy it still. The idea was great, I think that if the devs were just better supported it could have been something truly epic.
Would love to see something like this again, especially on a next gen console.
Dear gameinformer,
look up the fucking definition of cult classic,
sincerely,
anyone who knows what "cult" or "classic" means.
I think Treyarch could learn a little bit about community support from Eden Games.
Glad to see theres still some devs out there that listen to their fans and fix things
Nobody should learn anything from the Dev's at Atari.
Having whole chunks of a game missing, 3 weeks after release is unacceptable.
Until we realise this devs/publishers are just going to release broken games and try and patch their way out of it.
On day of release the game should work, we've paid our money for a workin game.
Something billed as a MMO where most of the online stuff is broke is just 2 fingers up at the customers.
I never had any hopes for this game. Nour Polloni, the producer of the game, was also responsible for Alone in the dark. That game was also extremely overhyped.
Its a great game and i've been having a shed load of fun. The devs have been brilliant constantly keeping everyone in the loop via twitter and their own forums.
Yes its a shame someone found a bug to exploit in clubs forcing it to be shut down and theres a few other niggles to be ironed out but theres a lot to do in this game so isn't such a big deal waiting.
