EA registers SSX: Deadly Descent domains — Scrawl

Scrawl: "Bricks have been dropped. Electronic Arts has recently registered five new domain names related to their popular snowboarding franchise, SSX, which seem to point the potential forthcoming announcement of a new game in the series titled SSX: Deadly Descent."

I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for a new SSX game to come out! SSX 3 was one of my favourite games on PS2, and I'm sure I will have a lot of fun with this new one, especially with online capabilities of the current gen consoles! (I connected to SSX 3 online on my PS2 once and nobody was playing, ha).

SSX was the game that made me buy a PS2 on launch, and i honestly cant believe they havent made an SSX game this generation. each game just got better and better. the race from the top of the highest peak all the way to the bottom in SSX 3 was just insane. deadset took half an hour, with no loading anywhere to be seen. was incredible stuff.

I'm thinking there is very little chance of this being an exclusive if done by EA, but don't Sony own the IP or something, cos it never appeared on PC or other consoles before.

I'd just like it to utilise all the PS3 power for it tbh, can anybody clarify?

Only the first SSX was exclusive to the PS2. SSX Tricky and SSX3 all came out on the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube. I think SSX On Tour or whatever it was called also came out on all three. Blur was a Wii-exclusive.
