So after Molyneux more than hinted that it would be featured in the game, its not?

What's the point of allowing devs to over-hype their own titles again?

Boy30005488d ago (Edited 5488d ago )

Perhaps it has to do with the timing, the launch of Kinect. Maybe they were actually planning for an early Kinect release like rumors were saying.

ryuzu5488d ago

Nothing to do with launch - it's because you can't use Kinect while sitting....

Games like Fable require hours of invested time - no one will stand up for that long lol.

Big blow to MS claims for new controller paradigm though. This is the only big name 1st Party game they've got, and it won't support their "revolution in gaming"....

r.

DelbertGrady5488d ago

That rumor was debunked.

It's a retarded argument. As long as you don't use your feet in the game why wouldn't it work while sitting down? I don't see any reason for it not to.

I also think Lionhead are developing a game exclusively for Kinect parallell to Fable 3. Molyneux has expressed his interest for it earlier on.

Games4M - Rob5488d ago

Well my guess as to why it wouldnt work is that Kinect would have to recognise the various different slouching couch/chair positions as a neutral position and then be able to translate that movement (which is no longer a standard front facing skeleton) into the movement required by the game.

Basically, it would have to instinctively know that when im lying down on the couch (my favourite gaming position) that my up and down arm movements are actually side to side movements.

Reibooi5488d ago

It's Molyneux ffs. He would say the disc was printed on pure gold if he thought it would help sell a few copies. The guy makes a million and a half promises he never delivers on.

HolyOrangeCows5488d ago

Promises an ocean, gives us a puddle.

The last current known plan for a hardcore application of Kinect....*FLUSH*

Spenok5488d ago

I wish it werent so, to bad thats what he does with all of his games. Though there generally worth playing.

Anarki5488d ago

You taken the words out of my mouth.. What a joke...

WrAiTh Sp3cTr35488d ago

I like the Fable franchise as a whole(Fable was amazing, Fable 2 was...ok), but Molyneux seems to think he is on the same level as Miyamoto, or thats the kind of impression I get from him.

Snakefist305488d ago

First Halo Then Gears And This. Now Tats The Reason Y Kinect Sucks.I guess Kinect is For Casual gamer not for the hardcore gamer.

Boy30005488d ago

I donr remeber MS saying that there would be Kinect for Reach or Gears...

I'm sure he previously said that it would feature kinect mini-games

cellypower5488d ago

I guess Kinect is not for the hardcore gamer.

wazzim5488d ago

Motion control is for casual gamers.

NecrumSlavery5488d ago (Edited 5488d ago )

Metroid Prime
House of the Dead: OVERKILL
MadWorld
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
No More Heroes
-------------------
Sorcery
Killzone 3
SOCOM 4
Heavy Rain
Dead Space Extration

^^^ these titles tell us that motion and hardcore can work together.

Omega45488d ago

Considering this will be out before Kinect its kinda obvious it won't have the features right away

Qui-Gon Jim5488d ago

They said there are no plans for it. They are not ruling out the possibility, but there are no plans for it.

darrensworld5488d ago

Haha, Omega man, you have an answer for everything! LOL

lodossrage5488d ago

not EVERY game needs motion control and not EVERY game should have it tacked on just to say "we can use it".

The score for the first Plants Vs Zombies is such great, iconic music that it has a timeless quality. Not quite the level of Minecraft, but wonderful in its own right.

I hope it's a remake of the 1st game. But it's probably just the PS5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2

OtterX11d ago

I hope a PS5 upgrade launches on the same day as announcement & it costs no more than $10. I already bought the Ultimate Edition once, they got good money from me.

I stopped playing completely 2 years ago until they did 60fps. I really didn't expect it would take this long & I didn't want to start completely over on PC.

GamerRN10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

I've been waiting for 60 to finish the game myself

OtterX10d ago

hopefully we'll know by the end of tomorrow! *crosses fingers*

dmonee10d ago

My wish is that its optimized for current gen machines, with some sort of story expansion. Undead nightmare 2! My 2nd wish is that it just shadow drops on the day of the announcement!.

Lionsguard10d ago

Give me my RDR2 Undead Nightmare already.

I think i made the mistake of giving Mama Murphy too many chems. Because I could never get my settlement past 98% happiness, and it even cost me the Platinum.
