Gaming Union: "As a now standalone game, Commander's Challenge is ideal for anyone who has stuck to the console RTS games, but for those that own Uprising on the PC it's just a repeat of what they have already seen without the additional campaign. However, as a series of hardcore challenges to bring veterans back onto the game for another bout it does its job well. While there is an online ranking system for all the levels none of the content is available for competitive play online which is a tad disappointing, however, there is plenty of time to be spent here and the majority of the challenges really will test players to the limit."

Opinion: Overlooked Console Downloadable Games Of 2009

More than 250 downloadable games were released for consoles in 2009. Some became deserved hits, racking up huge sales figures and becoming pervasive in gaming circles, but with so many titles, it's inevitable that a few gems would fall through the cracks.

Ryan Langley, editor of console download-focused Gamasutra sister site GamerBytes, has rounded up five Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network games that should have found their audience, but for whatever reason -- be it confused release schedules, price point bungling, or lack of gamer awareness -- have languished in relative obscurity.

Snackbar Games: C&C: Commander's Challenge Review

You can and should tackle the missions in cooperative mode though as the coop design philosophy stays in the spotlight in Commander's Challenge just like it did in Red Alert 3. For a scant $10 Commander's Challenge is a great value, but be prepared for the game to beat you up and take your lunch money for a while.
