HookedGamers Preview: Overlord: Dark Legend

In 2007, Codemasters released Overlord for the PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. The third-person action/adventure game was a runaway success and garnered favorable reviews all around. In fact, a sequel, Overlord II, is in the works as well, set to appear on the same three systems sometime in later 2009. The knowledgeable reader will of course have spotted that one console is conspicuously missing from that lineup. With Overlord: Dark Legend for the Nintendo Wii, Codemasters has set out to remedy this, and bring some Overlording fun to the arguably most popular console out there.

Meodia's Overlord: Dark Legend Review

Overlord: Dark Legend is a prequel to the first Overlord game, seeing the origins of the hatred between Elves and Dwarfs. Much like the first game you control a newly promoted Overlord who is a bit younger, in fact he looks a bit like a student in armor until you upgrade.

PlayDevil: Overlord: Dark Legend Wii Review

PlayDevil has posted a review of Codemasters' Wii game "Overlord: Dark Legend".

Here's snip:

"Understandably the Wii does lack graphical power compared to other next gen consoles and it would be unfair to expect anything on a par graphically with other Overlord games on different platforms.

For the most part graphics are acceptable with the fantasy setting coming across fairly well without being too absorbing. The downside though is that there are quite a few glitches in the overall presentation which does take away a fair bit of the enjoyment although does not spoil the game too much."
