Deeko Review: The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Deeko writes: "Let's face it, movie licensed games have a history of sucking bad. Granted, in the past few years things have gotten more bearable. Before a few recent titles though, there was a lot of garbage. Which is why the original Xbox classic The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay took everyone by surprise. Well at least those that actually played it. Due to the Xbox's low penetration rate last generation and the fact that it was a movie licensed game, many players passed on the title. This is one hell of a shame because Escape from Butcher Bay was one of the best stealth experiences last generation. Featuring a powerful narrative by Vin Diesel doing his best grumpy voice impression with some amazing visuals, Butcher Bay was a triple A title in every sense."

Tenchu! NICE! Wow, I haven't seen anyone mention Tenchu in such a long time. Really, they're my favorite stealth games from back in the day. Ayame or Rikimaru?

miyamoto2966d ago (Edited 2966d ago )

That's a toughie

but seriously

It's either between Proto-Rikimaru
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

or Manji Cult
https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Nothing beats the original that won Shuhei Yoshida's heart.

@miyamoto Okay, my mind is officially blown. First, at how gutter the first Tenchu test footage is(that jump sound effect..), and second...Wow! I had no idea that was motion capture. I immediately knew what I was looking at when he started moving, though. Incredible. Thanks a lot for showing me those, I had no idea those videos existed.

What about the one that was so stealthy, no one played it at all because nobody knew it was there?!

I'm actually having some fun with Shadows of Mordor and sneaking around the orcs and uruks
