TNS: Oblivion Remastered still has a lot of jank that doesn't look that great, but many of us accept it while hating Starfield's same jank.
Gaming Respawn reviews The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
LLC: "You have to go into The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered with the right level of expectation - especially if you’re a newcomer."
CCG writes - "Overall, Oblivion Remastered is a mixed bag. While the general stability enhancements are very welcome, the new graphical style may prove divisive to fans of the original. Morally, this is obviously a game meant only for mature audiences. If you want to play Oblivion again or are getting into it for the first time, then this is a pretty decent way to do so, provided you have the hard drive space available."
Playing this is making my high school self all giddy. Especially that I can play this on a damn handheld now.
One is a PS3/360 game and is still considered a "remaster" for this release. One is a current gen game that was in development for 6+ years and with a massive budget and was hailed as the "game of the generation" before it was released. They are NOT the same and expectations are obviously far different. Pointless whinging here.
One has jank but overall an interesting world to explore. Starfields biggest flaw was being massive and hollow.
Remaster of a game that came out in 2006 versus a fully priced modern 2024 release that was a console exclusive.
It's an old game.
