Game Informer: "While it was first popularized in mods for StarCraft and WarCraft III, there's little doubt that the success of Desktop Tower Defense brought the tower-defense genre to mainstream audiences. The Flash game, designed by Paul Preece in early 2007, has been played tens of millions of times since its launch, and its success allowed Preece to co-found his Casual Collective site. If you've missed out on the game or are looking for a way to quell your creep-destroying addition on the road, help is on the way-THQ is bringing Desktop Tower Defense to the Nintendo DS this April."
EDGE - WarCraft may have started it, but it was a first-time Flash programmer from the UK who helped ease tower defence games out of their niche.
If you know me you know I love two genres of games… Shooters and tower defense. I often find myself scanning the web in search of new free tower defense games. A ways back, while on this search I found myself on dedegames. There I discovered a game that I have indulged in for hours while on the job. This game is called Garden, TD.
