Hanzala from eXputer: "Dragon's Dogma 2 is a superb game; unfortunately a victim of a misunderstanding stemming from people's extreme hate for microtransactions."
Alex writes: "I have a habit of trying to rush through games, so Dragon's Dogma 2 was a nice reminder that taking it slow isn't the end of the world."
WTMG's Jordan Hawes: "Dragon’s Dogma 2 is exactly what I wanted; an updated sequel that still hold true to what made the first game so beloved. While it may not be perfect with its lack luster visuals and performance, it more than makes up for in deep gameplay and addicting exploration. The Pawn system still remains one of the coolest party systems in an RPG, and I love the dynamic feel of them. This is absolutely a game of the year contender and may be my personal game of the year already."
After brewing for nearly twelve years in Capcom’s cauldron; Dragon's Dogma 2 is finally here, and with it, a sequel that stays surprisingly faithful to the original. Author: Kyle Doherty for Game Hype UK.
In a way it's good, shows how much we want change. This really was a mountain out of a molehill situation tho, especially since ive heard you can only buy each item once. Does that nullify it completely? No it's still dumb, just not as dumb as the reactions
If they are nonexistent, then how do they exist? Why would a company invest in micros if they aren't a part of the game?
"Victim of misunderstanding"
My god, Capcom pay handsomely, eh?
I typically like Capcom but their "pay to not play" microtransactions seem to be coming into all of their titles.
DMC5 with orbs.
All recent Resi games. You can literally buy weapon upgrades with real world money in RE4.
SF6.
Dragons Dogma 2, where the save system is a good/bad feature BUT for convenience, if you die - spend 0.75p to resurrect.
It's a joke and clearly they've hindered in game earnings to push MTs. I've had 2 wakestones in my 20hrs so far....2.
The fact it only came out about MTs AFTER reviews is scummy as well, regardless how it is spun.
Just youtubers manipulating the masses to generate revenue
Couldn't these things just be cheat codes?
