Really?

I literally played the first 15 min of AW1 remake. Felt like a 10+ year old game so I deleted it. But I bought AW2 and really enjoyed it. The combat could get tedious, but overall I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Thing about rogue lite/like whatever you wanna call it. Its all about action gameplay. Returnal, Hades etc most story base games would go well with a rogue mode for replayability and ones that dont wanna go through the story mode again etc.

A haunted 4k OLED doesn't quite hit the same. Analog horror is a genre for a reason, they matry much better than digital and horror. Like which sounds better, a haunted VHS or a haunted PDF

You're spot on. Plus, having old technology is world-building. It immediately makes you question (even subconsciously) why an old television still exists there. It adds character and background in a subtle way. It is unsettling for the player, and attracts their attention in the best possible way because something about it isn't right.
