Grind is found in a great many games these days, so much so that one could be convinced that it's all a part of the fun. But is that really true?
Despite all the hype, marketing, development time and resources behind them, these blockbuster titles would disappoint fans.
The Order 1886 wasn't disappointing.
It was great.
Maybe do an article about Games Journalists Lied About. That would be a good read.
Sure, the campaign was terrible, but MW3 isn't even the top three most disappointing COD games...
Suicide Squad being at number 2 or even in this list seems like a freebie - its existence alone was disappointing, I don't think many people actually had positive expectations for it near release.
Not having Starfield at all feels like they're ignoring a huge conversation of last year. Even as someone that likes the game, ignoring its reception is head-in-the-sand at best and its restrictions were magnified by its release alongside Baldur's Gate 3. The disappointment many feel about it FARRRRR exceeds any disappointment people have for random third party titles like... Biomutant, and Exoprimal... Same could be said for reception around Forza Motorsport.
Nameer from eXputer: "With Persona and Like a Dragon, SEGA delivers a bold middle finger to the idea that turn-based games are outdated and I couldn't be happier."
I love RPGs and spent 151 hours with Infinite Wealth. Currently playing through Rebirth and Reload, and I have to say I'm far more engaged with Reload because I prefer the turn based combat. I'm not a fan of the real time combat in Rebirth. If the game and story wasn't so good, I likely wouldn't entertain it at all. I much prefer turn based games.
Persona 3 reload and infinite weath boasts sales of 1 million at launch on multiple platforms.

And Rebirth launched to 2 million which is seen as concerning on one platform.

Why is it more viable to make turn based games when they sell half as much?
Theses articles should at least highlight turn based games that sell the same or more than non turn based games to make a coherent argument. Like Pokemon or Honkai Star Rail.
The author acts like turn-based RPGs are a dying genre. Recent successful games such as Octopath Traveler series, Sea of Stars, the Trails series, Honkai Star Rail, and Baldurs Gate 3 (mentioned in the article) would prove that there is still market out there hungry for them. I’m blessed enough to love both turn-based and action rpg games.
According to leaks, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's future seasons will see the return of Batman as well as Arkham's Deathstroke.
So our Batman is actually dead then and died in such an awful way after everything he went through.
Meanwhile their big plan is to revive a version of him from a Medieval Elseworld
Wow. They really ruined the Arkhamverse in a single game.
Medieval Elseworld really that sounds like a bigger mess then what the game is. Kudos I have respect that Conroy made some last voice recordings as Batman. But I am still not touching this game I myself I don't do loot and shoot and live service games.
Lmao must have been some jealousy management had towards the OG rocksteady guys, forcing them to make thus trash and ruin the arkham verse smh now I know we will never get another legit batman title cause the bozos ruined it smh
As a long time Dragon Quest fan, the answer is yes. Grinding is a lot of fun.
Not when the grind exceeds 15hrs a day then it’s worse than a full time job
If the results in the end are good and it isn't insane then yes. Although persona 3 reload could...use a money reward boost lol.
depends how it's done. If it offers you the chance to enjoy the combat for longer than the campaign does without wearing it down, then the grind is fun asf
If the combat has enough variety yes. Like P3R or LaD Infinite Wealth
