An update regarding Insomniac and Marvel's Wolverine

On Twitter, Insomniac Games posted an update regarding the studio and Marvel's Wolverine.

I really feel for Insomniac Games. Hope these hackers get the punishment they deserve. All this aside, I can’t wait for Wolverine!

What sucks even more is it couldn't have happened to a more respected company. Not saying it should have been done to EA or whatever but insomniac is one of the most reputable dev teams out there so it makes this attack even more disgusting

victorMaje126d ago

So true. That’s what makes it hurt more. Of all the shitty companies out there it had to be Insomniac, smh…

Such a shame what’s happened

As they’ve said the game will evolve during development but I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future new ideas mean a chance of delaying it. Honestly I wouldn’t mind at all if it did, it’s understandable at this point, especially with how much is leaked

I’ve been trying to do a blackout over actual raw footage spoilers but Twitters shitty recommendation tab decided to just fill my timeline with it, already spoilt a couple things.

Hacking isn't even "cool" like they show. It has consequences. I hope they get prison when caught.

blackblades126d ago

I agree but if they hacked for justice then it would be cool. Like bad politicans and certain dictators that we know or corrupted cops.

Demetrius126d ago (Edited 126d ago )

Imagine getting 7 years or more for hacking someone else's work n leaking it to the net lmao🤦🏽 one of the dumbest crimes ever mane, they ought to know how fans get they're ruthless on the net and will want you locked up for that bs 🤣 folks really don't care about their freedom nowadays being locked up 24/7 with dudes sheesh

where-eagles-dare126d ago (Edited 126d ago )

This was organised criminal theft and an attempt to use blackmail & extortion to steal millions in cash. The despicable part is that the criminals even posted intimate knowledge of employees past and present details.

These are dangerous and ruthless, lowlife scumbags who deserve to feel the full weight of the law.

Yes continue... make it complete. The best response and action to take at the moment.

The only PlayStation dev I care about tbh.

Cacabunga9h ago

Hopefully doesn’t take them a complete gen to release it

TheColbertinator3h ago

Good. Something not boring, not one of those "make your own game" crap and also on Steam would be nice.

I too like to look for things in the wrong places.

"the capital group of PCF Group S.A."

If you're getting funding from a group that needs two different ways of Acronyming itself, things will not go the way you want them to.

If it was more online-only crap then good riddance.

jjb198117h ago

Outriders was crap. They slapped that game together and threw in a loot system to get players' attention. This game was absolutely jank and the always online nonsense made it stutter like crazy. People Can't Optimize.

thorstein16h ago

I liked Outriders but I could see where the artistic vision was compromised. The way the industry is now, it wouldn't surprise me that upper management would scrap something that didn't pull in money via gaas, mts, or other means.

Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition Reneges on Promised Content Behind $250 Price Tag

The new Escape from Tarkov Unheard Edition has the community in an outrage after promising exclusive access to the new PvE mode for $250 USD.

Christopher1d 6h ago

$250? Do they not know all the other games that already exist or will be made in the future that can do similar?

SimpleDad21h ago(Edited 21h ago)

This is for the hardcore people that have 2500 h in the game. They basically play that one game the whole year.
Oh and those same people are mad as hell at this... what a way to reward fans of your game and annihilate newcomers.

Read a comment earlier calling it a "special monetization operation." I had to chuckle at that.
