Damn that original menu screen is classic for sure. Makes me think of my first PC which was a prebuilt from Time.

Wonder if anything for a new Half Life will be revealed anytime soon.. Or any other Valve game for that matter.

Wouldn't count on new Half-Life. Would be better to just consider it dead and then be pleasantly surprised if anything ever happens.

they also 'accidentally' made the full game free but they quickly reversed that by making anyone who claimed it get an "ooops" screen. I was like, hot damn this will be fun again, and then... poof.

Yay... they have fixed the glitch and made it free to keep so long as you claim it before Nov 20th.

They could have done a lot more with this for being the 25th anniversary

How about a console port or at least porting the Black Mesa remake version

It would have been great to get Half Life, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Decay in one package

That would have been cool. i have the unreleased DC and the PS2 versions and they were okay for their time. Getting a remastered edition for modern platforms seems like an easy way to cash in. Guess Valve doesnt like $$ that much.

They should have contacted Nightdive.

They have to be working on other stuff. I'm just slightly disappointed they took so long to get stuff out on Source 2. Nothing wrong with the way it looks, but they're not pushing as much as they did in 2004 for visuals. I don't mean for them to release a game as demanding as Crysis that was more meant for future hardware, because IMO that's a poor thing to do. But at least meet halfway so you need at least a modern mid-spec or high ish spec PC to run it well while looking great.

Source 2 still looks clean/pleasing though. They can probably still squeeze more out of it too.

As part of the title’s 25th anniversary, that long-established glitch has now been resolved.

Been replaying this on my steam deck now that it's been updated with modern controls and is now fully verified. Have to say I'm surprised to see how well it holds up. Was a great game in 1998 and it's still a great game 25 years on.
