After reading some really terrible articles, or should we say click bait, that made us sick to our stomach.
Another brand new game for the Atari VCS created by Orange Pixel. Today we take a first look at this game where it total reminds of us a pixel based "No Man's Sky"
As a follow up to our video of "Atari is Not Dead", we have found there is a ton of misinformation about Atari in general.
Atari *is* dead. The current company using the name is not Atari at all. It's like the new Delorean company making that EV, it isn't Delorean. It's just some other company that bought the name.
It doesn't help when the original Atari pretty much died years and years ago and then another company Infrogrames or however it was spelled changed its name to Atari despite not having anything to do with Atari. Its any wonder why there's so much misinformation.
The Atari that hold a much bigger footprint in the industry is dead, as a publisher they're still around.
" As of 2022, the current Atari is pursuing several lines of business outside of video gaming, including cryptocurrency[15][16] and video-game themed hotels.[17] "
It might not even publish games anymore but that's the last I heard about them so I guess it's not even a videogame company anymore.
Today, we take a closer look at one of the reimaged games on Atari 50, Vctr Sctr.
I don't respect any of those websites you mentioned in the video. Including Gamespot that is mentioned. I don't go there for information even if they were better in their article about it. So, I would have ignored what the other sites have said just for clicks.
The company's NAME isn't dead. But look bro... ATARI IS DEAD. They died years ago. Like you said, do some homework. The Atari you know today is in name only. Infogrames is not Atari from years ago. Atari's previous consoles are dead. The original company is dead and their new console is dead from a company in name only. That's just being real. Keeping the name alive doesn't mean Atari isn't dead. They're dead. Being a fan doesn't change the truth even if websites are doing click bait about the current console release. My second console was Atari 2600 after my Pong system. Still got them and they still work. I'm a fan too. But ATARI is dead.
Long live Atari. Lol.
When your newest 50th anniversary ensemble of games arrives from Atari sporting Jaguar classics and they deliver it to other consoles first....yeah, they got some problems. Atari's official response on SM was, that current VCS owners will get it with a discount "when it comes out". What's the hold up "Atari"?
Here's the thing, there's always some company that comes along and buys the name and tries to revive it for copyright reasons and puts out a half assed attempt to keep the name alive. I remember when I worked at Infograms and they bought the name Atari, and it just continued from there.
It's a scam job for anyone who wants to make a buck cheap with a nostalgic name in gaming.
Atari has been dead for a long time . They may release something from time to time with new ownership but they don’t really offer anything worthwhile or meaningful besides a compilation of games from 40 years ago.
Sucks when you realize your truth doesn't hold up to closer inspection. Hope you get over your illness, nowhere but up from being an Atari Shill.
