Interior/Night's Caroline Marchal on setting up her inclusive studio after leaving Quantic Dream

From Eurogamer: ""Diversity is not just a token, it's just interesting to have different people coming from different cultural backgrounds, professional backgrounds, and countries," says former Quantic Dream developer Caroline Marchal.

"You've got people with different points of views coming at the story and at the experience and being like, 'what do you think about that? How about we do that like this?' It just improves what we're making."

Marchal is the CEO and creative director of Interior/Night, a new London-based studio creating Xbox exclusive As Dusk Falls as its first game."

This game looks interesting. I loved heavy rain but with the recent press and push from groups like kindafunny makes me think that this game will be super woke and not have a real story without personal politics shoved in that takes you out of the experience. I hope I’m very wrong. We’ll see.

It might be cheaper to simply pay the fine. Fighting said fine could cost millions due to court and lawyer fees. Fortnite generates well over a 100 million in each month, so Epic has plenty of cash.

But if they did pay it, then they are basically admitting that they did something they weren’t supposed to be doing. If they fight it, they may win and continue to have a sense of urgency for their micro transactions thus making more money long term.

The market for games like this is too over saturated to make a dent in other established games' player counts. Trying to start all over with a whole new multiplayer meta and grinding to get better is not feasible when there's already a ton of similar games that have come out before it.
