Hence why it’s not worth 90 gb on my SSD. Heck, it might be the only ps5 game that I didn’t try to make room for on my external for cold storage.

The Dualsense support wasn’t even remarkable.

I disagree, I think the dualsense haptics significantly added to the immersion. Feeling the rocks ricochet off your ride when offroading, the patter of rain, and the those rumble strips on the side of the roads definitely made driving around way more engaging. The triggers for brakes and acceleration were also a nice touch, I felt they added a lot of character and variety to different vehicles.

I was disappointed in first person mode however, textures looked low-res even with fidelity settings. Also wasnt a huge fan of the triggers for gunplay, got repetitive/tiring after awhile.

I’ve played better implementations, such as with Dirt 5 or Rainbow Six

Vinny Fanneran sounds like a GTA character tbh. Lol.

PrimeVinister725d ago

I absolutely do! And I have been called worse :-D

DivineHand125725d ago

The only difference I is more detail on the snow areas which is a small part of the game. I can see why it didn't impress many persons when it came out.

"The only difference I is more detail on the snow areas"

The jump from 30fps to 60fps and 1080p to 4k is plenty of difference.

Welshy725d ago

Not a difference enough when you have to pay a THIRD time to access it.

On PC changing resolution and FPS settings is literally that, in the settings, not another purchase of the same game. This 100% should have been free to anyone who owns a copy of GTA5's PS4 remaster.

ocelot07725d ago

Why should it? You bought it on PS4 or on XB1. You can still play these versions on PS5 and Series S/X.

Yes some company's give free upgrades. Like capcom and upcoming releases off Resident Evil 2,3 and 7. This is great from capcom but I wouldn't take a dump on them if they offered a small fee to upgrade.

It's not like Rockstar are asking full price. Right now I believe they are asking for £8 on PS5 for single player and or £18 for Xbox Series X/S owners. Even the re-release on disc is only £20.

uhhhhPhrasing725d ago

@Welshy I get your point, but Rockstar did give everyone a free upgrade to the PS5 version of GTA Online... Isn't this all anyone is playing at this point when it comes to GTAV? I bought the game originally on PS3, and then a year or two later on PS4, call me a sucker but it was loads better on the PS4 so I feel like that was getting my money's worth... After getting a PS5 and installing the game, I had already played the story once on PS3 and again on PS4 so all I've ever used it for on the PS5 has been the multiplayer... I don't think it warrants complaining about having to purchase it again on PS5, when they gave out the GTA Online to anyone who wanted it for free.

If you love the single player story enough to play it a third time, go for it, but Rockstar knows where their player base is coming from and gave that upgrade out for free...

MIDGETonSTILTS17724d ago

Not everybody sees that value.

Lots of games had $10 upgrades for such improvements, and those were criticized for being too expensive if they didn’t have RT, too.

What was GTA5’s story, $20 for the upgrade? That is easily the worst value proposition from any remaster yet this gen. Look at what Doom Eternal
offered, and iD didn’t make $100 billion off the first versions of Eternal like GTA Online did.

The milking was just too much.

Pretty underwhelming if you asked me.

UltimateRacer725d ago

Overall it’s a shit upgrade and to be charging for this is a joke, R* are such a scummy company these days, the good days are well and truly gone.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing693d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos3d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius3d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy853d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius3d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
