Ali writes: "Dawn of the Monsters is an altogether great offering for fans of the beat ‘em up genre"
"Earlier this year, WayForward and 13AM Games unleashed Dawn of the Monsters, a kaiju-themed beat ‘em up, onto consoles and PC. The game features four gigantic playable monsters and/or robots who must save the world from an alien invasion. With over 30 stages of brawling and citywide destruction, Dawn of the Monsters already packs a big punch. But the game will get even bigger when the developers add a new playable monsters - and fans can vote on the new character!" says Co-Optimus.
The gameplay is not as robust as action-heavy games with sick combos like Devil May Cry. However, the brawling mechanics are satisfying whether players are fighting their way through Dawn of the Monsters alone or with a friend. It should be noted that co-op support is local only which may be a big deal for some. To those blessed with family members, significant others, or close friends to play games on the couch with, this shouldn’t be a big deal.
