Danny Trejo's Far Cry 6 Mission Trailer Has Been Formally Revealed

This looks like a great update. Today, Ubisoft announced that two free crossover missions featuring Danny Trejo® are now available for Far Cry 6 players.

All the Hollywood talent in the world can't save a lackluster game.

Garethvk891d ago

The game was just fine as long as you had realistic expectations. If you played any of the recent games you knew what to expect and they gave a game with a good storyline and 20+ hours of gameplay.

Magog891d ago

After the disappointment of 5 and reading the reviews for this I didn't buy it. Games need to evolve not stagnate.

Garethvk891d ago (Edited 891d ago )

I actually played it and I was more than happy with it.
It is not for everyone but I did not mind 5 nor New Dawn as the story and gameplay kept me engaged.
6 is a large game and allows players to play as they want. There were times when it seemed like the storyline was padded as we could have gone for the main goal sooner than we did but overall it was about 26 hours of engaging gameplay for me.

I rented it on Gamefly and sent it back, fairly certain I am not even 1/5 through. I liked Far Cry 5 but idk, might be because I had just got a PS5 and had so many games, just couldn't get through it. Open World fatigue set in quick. It was kinda fun for the parts that had action, but christ, getting to the action is a bore and a chore.. And traversing an empty, hot looking world was not fun.

20 hours lol, with respect, i've spent at least 50hrs within the game world and haven't even touched the surface of this game. I haven't even gone to the 3rd part of the map yet. This game is riddled with things to do, hunting, treasures, camps, outposts, fishing, etc etc. This game is way better than the others in my opinion. There's way more activities, Idols, the homemade weapons add character to the game. The speech alone from Clara (spoiler alert) as you are throwing the flares onto the fire on the very 1st island was an inspiration to the game too. it's huge, i really must stick to the story for now instead of getting side tracked and do those bits later but as soon as i start getting shot at or hear gunfire, someone in trouble etc etc i'm off lol.

It really is a great game and i must say, there's a change that's been made to the game which has put meaning into everything you do within the game too. It's a little hard to explain but you just get that feeling that everything is justified and has consequences to you're actions and I find that really stands out compared to others previous to this. To those going off of reviews to this game let me say this... the reviewers are usually comparing entries to the franchise like Far Cry, COD, Battlefield etc etc and comparing if it's better or worse than the last but if you went genuinely into this game playing it as you're 1st or just fresh eyes I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. i'd give it a 9/10 personally and really liking the changes. And them damn loading screens are so much better/quicker now on new hardware..

It was probably the better side of the franchise. I disliked 5 and new dawn because the silent protag ruined it for me. 4 was a paper thin story with me probably rooting for pagin in the end.

It's probably my top 3 of the franchise behind 1 and 2

Garethvk891d ago

Good points. I liked the premise of 5 and New Dawn but I agree your character was not defined well.

Gaming4Life1981891d ago

Actually far cry 6 is really good, 3 will always be my favorite cause of the story but this is a close 2nd.

Garethvk891d ago

It grabbed your attention from the start and kept you engaged.

REDGUM891d ago (Edited 891d ago )

Hey Magog, I think you'd be surprised with the changes in this game that have been made . It's a big step up from FC5 in my opinion.
Reviewers can be harsh when comparing to past entries. This feels like a fresh take on things to me. Is it perfect, no, but it's a way better game than the 5th.

Heh. I had joked about Trejo needing to be in this in some manner (I could see him as Carlos Montero), but I'm kinda tired of seeing old hollywood stars selling themselves and their brand so hard like this. I mean, is this an add for this own actual Trejos Tacos restaurant or are we playing Far Cry 6 here? Is he going to have a Trejos Donuts mission too? At least the game is getting content...I guess.

Garethvk891d ago

He was in Zombie content for COD as well if I remember correctly. I am sure it is a case of when they offer and the money is right you do it. I have been attached to some films and games that were not the best on the markets but I looked at it as something fun to do.

GamingSinceForever891d ago

This taco mission was hilarious. Stupid but surprisingly fun to play.

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

-Foxtrot72d ago

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor72d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos72d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius72d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8872d ago (Edited 72d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

How did redfall not make the cut.

anast295d ago (Edited 295d ago )

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
