A look back on the iconic PS2 platformer with Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Bend Studio, and more.
The WellPlayed team has come together to share which video games they’d like to see turned into a TV show.
The PS2 birthed various notable PlayStation mascots, but Ratchet and Clank appear to be the only ones that made it on every later console generation.
We needed remakes of Jak and Daxter more than pumping out an unnecessary "remake" of Last of Us.
Then again, we're hilariously now getting a "remake" of Horizon Zero Dawn, so Sony is already outdoing themselves.
Nahh we don’t need these kind’s of games we need more walking slimulators like Naughty Dog games and remakes of games that aren’t even 10 years old because they make money right Sony. The fact that R&C is still around AND still good is a goddamn miracle that i’m very grateful for.
the last R+C (rift apart) was definitely way better than I wanted to give it credit for before playing. still one of the best, most impressive ps5 games imo.
Even though it's been 13 years since the last brand-new Jak and Daxter game, several factors have allowed Naughty Dog's franchise to survive.
I know naughty dog has no interest in this, but man I love to see this series return, or at the very least get blue point onto remaking the original 3 games please!!!
Really miss this franchise. The first Jak & Daxter game I played was Jak 2 but I'm happy I played The Precursor Legacy a few years later as well. Kept an open mind and loved it almost as much as 2 and 3. Very important games in my childhood.
They should have ported the Bluepoint PS3 versions to the PS4. On a positive note, that port of Jak X that ran terribly on PS4 has no issues on PS5. haha. Had a blast playing it last year.
Come on Sony do a remake collection of jak and daxter for PS5
i love the Jak & Daxter series, and we havent had a game since 2005's Jak X: Combat Racing. Im hoping with the success of Insomniacs Games Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Sony is ready to commit to a new Jak & Daxter video game.
Having grown up on platformers of the 90s, the 1st Jak and Daxter really blew me away! It gave me those warm fuzzy feelings like only Nintendo could. I remember just absolutely loving the animation, gameplay, and stunning graphics! It was crazy to see anyone outdo Nintendo, but they did it! One of the iconic PS2 games that still holds up well to this day. PS2 was such an incredible system because of games like this.
