Xbox experience goes up without a hitch, every single live user is simply switched in with a 30 second download.

Home however is a disaster, looks like 90% of you can't even use the dam service, your just teased with a download IF you can even get that. And Sony said next gen starts when they say? WOW talk about delusional.

Whats with everyone thinking its gonna be some kind of huge party or something? Its a virtual world for finding other gamers to add to your friends list and launch games from. Instead of running into random people in an online match of Warhawk, you can go to the Warhawk meeting space and find other players with the same interest, talk in text or voice, then launch a game....everything else is just added on fluff. Besides its completely free....you haven't lost anything so there's no reason to whine......unless some of these whiners don't actually own PS3s.......................... .......nah, that can't be it....

True, there isn't too many things you can do yet, but it helps a lot if you socialize with other people.

I do hope it's expanded considerably though. The bowling alley / arcade is far too small for the amount of people it's meant to be accommodating. Honestly, I've never seen one so small in the real world, so why is it so tiny in home?

Tried making a virtual me but sadly, they dont have beards as a selectable facial option. I walked around a little bit and checked out the arcade and pool tables. Went back outside and went to the mall.

I don't see myself really coming back unless I am wanting to game with a buddy as the ability to launch a game is supposed to be easier in home than through the xmb. I don't really care for the load times between sections but it should get better over time.

I was thinking they were going to have it all decked out in holiday cheer as this the season for that. Like have a big xmas tree in home square. I also find it odd that they dont have dynamic time of day. I was on at 11pm last night and home was all bright and sunny. Maybe they will adapt the environment to reflect the time of day in your region.

That might be to much to ask, but maybe later on.

I did have it crash on me when I was flipping through the start menu options. I went to communications/updates and it knocked me out. It could be fun for those with lots of time on their hands. For me, I'll come back if there is something big happening.

My advice to everyone, don't spend too much time in home. Take it little by little. I'm a beta tester and played it a bunch the first few days. The excitement turns to boredom and then boredom to frustration. Home was supposed to be this revolutionary thing for the PS3, instead, it's a novel "second life" that charges you real money to buy clothes and furniture in game. Unless they do a total overhaul, Home will be forgotten in 6 mos. It's sad too, I was really hoping for more.
