Halo Infinite Took Me Back To Better Times

I'm glad halo infinite mp is getting praise but I want to see the campaign. This would be the best time to show it since the game is being loved by everyone.

It sounds like this is going to be more like Halo 5 than Halo 4. Good multi-player with a mediocre story. I think 343 is focused more on the multi-player this time around. I don't know if this game will have microtransactions or GAAS, but it does feel like the multi-player is the number one priority.

Yeh, honestly, the fact we haven't seen anything of campaign since 2020 and it's only a few months away from release makes me think Infinite's campaign isn't going to be that great. It seems what we've seen of MP so far is very promising.

At the very least, if campaign gets mediocre review, then we don't need to buy it, as MP has been confirmed to be free on launch.

I hope it's a good campaign. Halo for me is all about the story. I got my multiplayer fix from other titles.

Or they may want to keep it that way, to avoid ruining elements of the story, which could happen even with the simplest of trailers.

I'm good with playing the campaign on launch day, then i will pass judgement on it, not beforehand.

I think we saw what we needed from the campaign in 2020. Meaning they revealed the basis of the story and the environment for the story. They also showed gameplay which was also good. Yes, the graphics needed work, but it looks like that is being dealt with.

Playing through Halo 5 campaign for the first time and finding it the most unbalanced lazy and repetitive experience. I have absolutely no faith 343 will pull off the campaign side of things. Just hope MP is awesome.

Halo 5 is hands down the worst campaign in the whole series. It’s straight up boring as hell.
Multiplayer is good, not great. That campaign though…. And you know coop normally makes things better cause you have a friend. Um no.

Makes sense why they introduced the revive feature in campaign because of how broken it is. Lazy balancing, this makes Halo 4 look like a masterpiece. The fact that they pivoted towards only showing multiplayer once they got the negative feedback on the campaign shows that its in trouble. Not to mention how many key players at 343 have left the project, like i said i really just hope MP is balanced and fun.

All these concerns from people that say the same thing in every-single Halo article. We get it - they haven't shown campaign.

Halo 2's campaign didn't even exist when they demoed that in E3 2003. In E3 2004 they only showed MP, and Arbiter was a last-minute reveal (if it even was revealed officially before release) not unlike Abby in TLOU2. Chill out, and stop pretending that it's something you guys are even looking forward to when you've been complaining about it since July of last year.

343 hasnt made a good Halo campaign since Halo 4 (and that was still below average). Halo 5 was very bad and the reveal for infinite was also lacking substance (and visuals).

I believe some of the writers from 343 left after Halo 4, and that's one of the reasons why Halo 5 story was awful

A little research would tell you that 343 industries is made up of some former Bungie employees, so that makes no sense to me, especially given the writer from the original trilogy Joseph Staten is working on Infinite, so i expect the campaign element to be on the same level as Bungie's trilogy, i mean that is the reason Staten was hired last year.

But your right, Bungie have mastered that GAAS, milk your consumer every DLC release sales model.

I don't think that's going to happen. The best thing you could do is just play Halo Infinite on gamepass just in case the campaign is bad. That's my plan. I'm also hearing that the multi-player is free, which makes me believe it will probably have microtransactions or gaas

Playing in the technical test I can confirm you are playing Halo. What that means to each person varies. Halo lover? You’re going to love it. Halo hater? Nothing here will change your mind. I will say this though, and I know the levels aren’t complete, but man they look too clean. That might sound dumb but it is what it is. Let me try to clarify. There’s like NOTHING in the areas that look misplaced, torn up, rusted to hide behind or make this look like arenas of combat. I guess detail would be the best way to put it. You walk into this room and it’s just a big wide open empty azz room with people rabbit jumping and shooting. Turn this corner and it’s just a big empty azz hallway with people rabbit jumping and throwing grenades or jumping up a ramp. There MIGHT be a lonely vine growing up a otherwise shiny metal wall, but yeah. Nothing to hide behind, ambush from, or play tactical at all. I know this is not indicative of the whole experience and all the maps but damn. Game feels old when it’s new.
