Undertale is Not Just A Meme, Play It

I never thought I would say I am an Undertale fan, but it's a perfect game. Its story and unpredictable gameplay moments are outstanding. Please play it!

I hated it. Thought it was vastly overrated and didn’t get the appeal. When someone tried to explain it to me, I said I understood what they were saying, and I understand what they were trying to do, but I wasn’t into it at all.

I didn't really dig it at all, frankly. I enjoyed Mother, which this was inspired by, but I just couldn't get into Undertale.

I played it following all the hype it got, and thought it was just ok. I do think it has alot of personality and I like the choices you can do, but that's about it. Alot of people made it sound like it was the next half-life or something and I didn't get that at all.

Undertale is definitely one of my favorite games ever.
I played it fresh right when it came out. I suspect a lot of people only played it because others told them too and didn't go in with a good mindset to enjoy it.

I played it like 2 days after release based on only 4 words total from a friend "you should try it" which makes the acclaim it got even more absurd from my perspective as i knew absolutely nothing about the game before i played it, making it the best case scenario as far as it surpassing my expectations. Finished it in one sitting, played the genocide and pacifist playthrough the next day as per advised by my friend and walked away like "yeah that was neat". So when it suddenly blew up and people were hailing it as the best game ever and it was in literally every discussion regarding games i was sitting here like "Really?!"

I mean you're free to like whatever you want, im glad you love it, just saying personally i don't see what's that great about it.
