Real time GI for this game will look so good and the replayability will be up there with the best

chrisx1546d ago

I have no doubt that this game will be amazing.

NeoGamer2321545d ago

I am not sure how you can say that. The article says that it really hasn't been shown yet.

While I like that John M. is excited about this, Peter Molyeux got excited about a lot of things that ended up fizzling. Until it is actually seen and experienced this is a marketing gimmick.

lifeisgamesok1545d ago

We've seen real time GI in games before, it makes the overall game look better.

We've also seen the freedom in ways to approach missions and the different decisions you can make

ccgr1546d ago

Can't wait for this one!

UltraNova1546d ago

I'm thinking maybe I should wait and buy it on ps5 just to experience it in all its glory...

aaronaton1546d ago

I would agree also, on a big 4k HDR display with a decent surround sound setup. Can't argue with that.

BrettAwesome1546d ago

I agree. But it depends on what they plan to do with the game once next gen is out. Either way, I think there's nothing wrong with waiting a bit and playing on next gen machines. Who knows. They might patch something cool in that makes the wait worth it

DJStotty1546d ago

Should you not get it for PC if you want to play it "in all its glory"?

And with PS5 rumoured to be the weaker of the 3 (xbox sx, PS5, PC)?

UltraNova1545d ago (Edited 1545d ago )

@brett

The latest delay made waiting trivial(2 months). Ps5 will be BC so you can play CP the day you get a ps5. Also, two months is enough time for them to perform basic enhancements for next gen machines and release a patch for them. That's if they aren't working on this already...

@DJ

True in a way if you count being able to play the game on a 2000+ dollar PC in order to reach its full potential... Worry not though, next gen consoles will surely punch above their weight, performance wise, so I'm ok with that. Plus, I'm not a PC gamer, I prefer console gaming in the comfort of my living room, with my big 4K HDR OLED and surround system.

As for the xboxSeX vs ps5....nuh I couldn't care less since my taste in games (both quality and quantity) is served on PlayStation and then some.

DJStotty1545d ago

@Ultra

everyone is entitled to their opinion, me personally am a gamer, so i play some titles on PC (what my measly effort can run) and console game primarily on xbox as the 2 co-exist together (and majority of my friends also are on xbox)

If my online friends were primarily Playstation, i would have a PS4. But unfortunately, i do not have the finances to support 3 platforms at once (4 if you include Nintendo)

FullDiveDerail1545d ago

I built up my PC just to experience in its glory.

FullDiveDerail1545d ago

You do know you can play games on your OLED TV on PC with a Controller from the comfort of your living room..My Computer chair is pretty comfortable and can recline too. The best way to play this game will be on a Ultrawide Curve monitor at 1440p HDR. Resolution isn't everything especially when you are playing at lower settings.

medman1545d ago (Edited 1545d ago )

@fulldivederail
I started out as a pc gamer, nowadays I usually game on console due simply to ease of operation. I'm pretty busy, and don't have nearly as much time to game as I used to. When I do get the chance, I like to just sit down, power on, and for it just to work. I don't have to mess with drivers, settings, updates, etc. etc. Don't get me wrong....I love pc gaming. But it does require a level of commitment that consoles do not. It offers more on the back end for that commitment, but ultimately both experiences can be enjoyable.

Having said all that, I'm going to enjoy the heck out of the ps5 and series x (hopefully in 4k 60-120fps for most games), watching on my large oled tv sitting on my leather reclining sofa, blasting the audio through a multichannel emotiva amp and yamaha aventage receiver 5.2.4 atmos setup, with dual svs subwoofers walloping my spleen when the material calls for it. That for me is a good experience.

I'm certainly looking forward to this. I don't mind the delay at all, it's going to make the game better for it.

Italiano12345671546d ago

To bad it aint running good on console. Ill wait till next gen

porkChop1546d ago

No game runs well until it's polished up and optimized later in development.

GameZenith1545d ago

And even then, the console version will not be able to give the same output as a fully decked out PC.

I want to play this with a min 60fps. I doubt even next gen consoles could do that.

bluefox7551545d ago

@gamezenith The frame rate has little to do with console power, and everything to do with developer priorities. They have to decide whether they want a maximum visual presentation at 30fps, or a lesser one at 60. These mid gen updates have given developers some flexibility though, so hopefully this is a trend that will continue, and we'll be given more choices similar to the "graphics mode" and "performance modes" we've seen so far.

AngelicIceDiamond1546d ago

Makes no sense considering this game was announced in 2013 before the consoles were out. CDPR should of had more realistic parameters for the current consoles instead of Star Citizen this game from the jump. Sounds like they over shot themselves this gen or maybe they were caught off guard how under powered the current consoles are, now they have to work around that. Maybe that's why they keep shunning next gen version of Cyber Punk because they want to deliver the promise this gen. I'll be pretty upset if the game doesn't live up to the hype that they themselves set on current consoles 7 years ago.

Hungryalpaca1545d ago

Or they just made the game they wanted to make no matter how long it took. It’s pretty clear from the start the dev time would take nearly a whole generation. I don’t think they were too concerned about the xb1/ps4 seeing as it’s likely to release on the 5/XSX.

wwinterj1545d ago

Most games don't run on console at first. Still a next gen version is inevitable but if you're that bothered about having the best version I wonder why you're not buying it on the PC.

Garry's Mod Removing All Nintendo Content From Steam Workshop After Takedown Request

The developer of Garry's Mod has announced it is in the process of removing all Nintendo-related content from Steam Workshop after receiving a takedown request from Nintendo.

gurp2d ago

first emulation, now this
even though I don't play Garry's Mod, it is still bad

Inverno2d ago

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.

-Foxtrot2d ago

Well the games creator Gary Newman confirmed it himself on Twitter.

Inverno1d 21h ago

Seems that's still being debated.
