BUGS vs TANKS! is a top-down action game from Level-5 and Comcept. You best know Comcept as the studio recently formed by Keiji Inafune, the creator of Dead Rising, Mega Man, and other great games from Capcom. BvT! is the second game in the GUILD02 trilogy of experimental games proceeded by last month's The Starship Damrey. The trilogy itself is the second after last year's GUILD01 was released for the Nintendo 3DS. BvT!'s title is self-explanatory, much like PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies games, as you play as a tank well, fighting bugs. Unlike PvZ, BvT! is very much a strategic action game as opposed to a strategic tower defense game.

The Mega Man creator’s game has you playing as Nazi soldiers during World War II. Somehow, your tank battalion has been shrunk down to be smaller than insects, and you find yourself fighting giant ants just to survive. While the game did have its ups and downs, I actually grew to like it, and found myself compelled by the gameplay."
