It's time for Sony to just give up on controlling this and just let everyone do it.

Imp0ssibl31669d ago

How was it? One step forward, two step...

gangsta_red1669d ago

Did Gaijin not have enough money to instantly go to the front of the line for Sony's "Beta" program?

Atticus_finch1669d ago

Bad guy Sony, they should definitely prioritize filling the empty lobbies for Xbox games.

gangsta_red1669d ago (Edited 1669d ago )

Or Sony should support these developers that want to make this happen. I think that should definitely be a priority.

Edit:

Yeah, Xbox is so dead and barren that absolutely no one is playing on that system, not one single person. So of course the easier solution (instead of shutting down servers for Xbox since they're sooooooooooooooo empty) is to have crossplay between both consoles.

Absolutely Brilliant!

AnubisG1669d ago

Exactly. How dares Sony put their own interest first and not MS's? Bad Sony is acting like a business that want's to make money. How dare they? /s😄

Cross play is now available for any dev. This is about cross progression, which has some strict policies due to the nature of how they're sold. People have been confusing the two things since cross progression became part of the discussion.

gangsta_red1669d ago

Unfortunately Sony are still refusing crossplay for Gaijin as stated in the actual article. So no, cross play is yet to be available to any dev. But it seems it may depend on how much money games make or either that developer pays out to Sony.

rainslacker1668d ago (Edited 1668d ago )

They're refusing it because of the attachment to cross progression. as stated in the article, and title.

gangsta_red1667d ago (Edited 1667d ago )

Sony kept refusing cross play for Gaijin before the new policies for cross progression were introduced, as stated in the article.

rainslacker1667d ago

The cross progression policies have always been part of it. If they removed the cross progression from the game, they'd probably pass cross play compliance, and then whenever Sony works out it's cross progression stuff, they could add it back in.

Sorry gangsta, but your foundation of Sony not allowing cross play is crumbling, and cross progression is still a muddy issue with Sony...namely, the MT that exist within such progression schemes, and being able to buy that stuff on other platforms.

gangsta_red1664d ago

Read the article again and carefully and read that Gaijin had problems with Sony and crossplay before their new cross progression policies rolled out.

It's literally right there in the article with a link that also goes to the first article when Gaijin asked Sony for crossplay.

I know defending Sony and trying to absolve them of all wrong doings plays a big part in your discussion but you're ignoring their past history and what they and others have been through before these "new" policies were rolled out.

rainslacker1664d ago

I know what the article said, and cross progression has always been part of the cross play compliance. Cross play is now available to any dev, but it'll take time for games to run through the compliance and finally make it under the new policies. But, as of now, cross progression is still pretty heavily regulated.

even though I don't play Garry's Mod, it is still bad

Inverno1d 13h ago

I was reading it's all just false reports from a troll who's done things like this in the past and not Nintendo themselves.

-Foxtrot1d 3h ago

Well the games creator Gary Newman confirmed it himself on Twitter.

Seems that's still being debated.
