I really enjoyed this game. The soundtrack was amazing, I loved the combat system and that there is a world map so it's hard to get lost. A lot of people prefer the ring system in SD2/3 but I like having my moves linked to hotkeys. I think the gameplay is much better for it.

The storyline takes a hit due to the nature of how certain lands unlock with different requirements -- but it varies the gameplay for consecutive playthroughs.

Also, constructing the AI on your robot ally was amazing.

Yup definitely one of the weirder games I've played. I never got to finish it, hoping it gets a re release somewhere along the line.
