What the hell happened to once hyped Getaway series?
If you know 'The Getaway' series, then you may already know who Katie Ellwood is. She worked as Sony Europe's narrative producer, as well as having a role on the original Getaway game and The Getaway: Black Monday. However, more recently, she has broken away from Sony to pursue a more independent career, now screenwriting for games and film as a director of two different business. She took some time out of her schedule to talk to Gamer's Guide to Life about writing for games, films and The Getaway series.
Yeah, it's a shame The Getaway was cancelled, as it looked like it was going to be a great game. I suppose it was just the fact that it'd cost too much to develop that made Sony drop it.
Not to mention, not many people valued the franchise when it was back on PS2.
To be honest, that's a big generalisation, and people often forget that the original PS2 Getaway wasn't actually that awful. The thing is, Black Monday was so bad, they forget that the original was actually okay. I see your point, but I do believe that people tend to be a little hard on the game.
Yea your right black monday was terrible but Id like to see them give it another go.
You probably remember some talk of the 3rd installment of The Getaway, for the PS3 & some of you may not remember, but the ones who did, Eight Days. I personally never was a fan of The Getaway series and when Hiphopgamer asked me to write this story, I will admit, I was a bit skeptical, but now, here I am...
the getaway is an awesome sandbox game, i loved how if you crashed the wrong way it would mess up your steering, totally realistic. and the story and game play was awesome too.
eightdays looked awesome
if i had to choose between the two, id choose The Getaway.
But Getaway have a fan base.. so.. if sony could revive one of this two games, i'd choose getaway. And if getaway come back to life, i know it would sell a lot and then they could finish eight days.
Good plan isn't it?
Damn it. I saw the title and got all excited and then i saw the source:(
If this was only from a credible source
I loved the 1st Getaway , didn't really enjoy Black Monday as much , but I was hoping I would have seen the game on PS3 since the footage they did show of the game looked great..
but im all for 8 days coming back..that trailer looked awesome as hell...
I will say that these games weren't "cancelled" and instead "shelved" for completion down the line when there are less big name titles in the pipe.
You'll see both these games in 2-3 years time. That being said this kid is the king of speculation passed off as actual news.
The concept of Eight Days sounds awesome. I hope they either bring this game back (and Getaway) or implement it in another game.
HHG and his sidekick hydro.
perhaps people should wait for confirmation! anyway, 8days does look good, but after the let-down of the getaway, and it's sequel, i wont be getting hyped like i did all those years ago.
plus, seeing how long it took to do the first one, i wouldn't expect a new getaway until just before the next olympics!
peace to all the mutherfuking G's
Eight days please.
There were only 2 games so far this generation that I was hyped for. One of them was MGS4, the other was Eight Days.
I was really disappointed when I read Eight Days was canceled.
I agree the 8 days tech demo looked fun as hell, and I would definitely want to play it. It looks like a super fast action packed Uncharted.
Unfortunately I haven't played any of the Getaway, but it looks like GTA set in Europe.
so i am good to go :) now just hoping that at least Eight Days comes back.. don't really care about the other one.. coz ive never heard of it, or seen anything of it :P
Neither on of these games has been canceled indefinitely, expect to hear about 1 of them at GDC
i don't know about gdc but yeah i believe it wasn't canceled but put on hold for a while
everything i've seen so far (which is only a little bit) seemed like it had great potential.
oh ma gush, it'd be sweet.
i think, i'd prefer Eight days, i could only care less about gataway.
thou the graphic was cool, but game play and story was Wack!
syphon filter 2 remake?
ps3 rocks!
cheers.
Obama 08 = ps3 09.
longggggggggggggggggg ago! it looked freaking awesome with the glass panels getting blown out and what not!. I'd love to see that game get up and going.
I've never played the previous installments of The Getaway... how is that series?
i dont get the "no online capabilities" reason. look how good of a game uncharted is
Dude seriously
u need to read the article.
its money problems not online issues
eight days has one of the best animations i've ever seen
put on hold/temporarily posponed to help fund development of KZ2? kinda has me thinking, but I know both these games generated lots of excitement with PS3 fans for sure and before I owned my PS3 (60 gig)... I seen that footage of Eight Days and just said to myself "Bad @ss"
i'd imagine Sony might go with The Getaway as the first title to get resurrected.
looking at how public perception regarding the Killzone series has done a 180 (people who never played it hated the first one, ignored Liberation, and now somehow LOVE the second one), i'd imagine that The Getaway could have a similar treatment.
i loved the first Getaway, even though it wasn't perfect. the overall gameplay was, i think, ahead of it's time (ie, characters regaining health after avoiding damage for a while), no HUD clogging up the screen (which is almost standard these days), and very realistic car handling/damage (ie, steering being harder when your car is damaged in a way that would affect its steering in the real world).
the story was really good also, evoking movies like Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
the problem with The Getaway was the same with Killzone: it wasn't a "Popular title of the same genre Killer." that is to say, it wasn't a "GTA Killer," which the media hyped it to be as well.
the game was constantly compared to GTA, in the same way Killzone was compared to Halo, and even though the Getaway was definitely inspired by GTA, it wasn't a blatant attempt at a copycat, a la Saint's Row.
The Getaway to Grand Theft Auto, is what Killzone 2 is to Halo 3 - same genre, but with gameplay too different to really be compared fairly.
i enjoy both the GTA and Getaway games, and i appreciate that they do things differently, while occupying the same genre. i also enjoyed the original Killzone (so under-appreciated, and that's the TRUTH), just as much as i enjoyed the original Halo, but i enjoyed them for very DIFFERENT reasons.
the problem with the gaming media, and how they've shaped and confused pubic opinion, is that games have to be EXACTLY THE SAME, and yet, ENTIRELY DIFFERENT.
they want a game that isn't just the same old FPS we've been playing for ages, and yet, they complain that Killzone 2 doesn't look, feel, or play EXACTLY like Call of Duty 4. it's a ridiculous, hypocritical double standard.
The Getaway wasn't anything like GTA, and it was ripped to shreds for it.
it's funny, complaints about the controls, targeting, shooting, car handling, etc were overlooked for the GTA games, but The Getaway, which had much better controls, targeting, shooting, and car handling, STILL got ripped on for, well, i don't actually know. it lacked the humor and charm, and overall cartoony quality of GTA, so it got slammed? it wasn't a perfect game, and had some of the same issues that GTA, and other sandbox games in it's genre had, but for some reason The Getaway was singled out.
sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it? games like Gears, Mass Effect, Fable 2, etc, got passes for buggy, laggy online, terrible texture load in and load times, and framerate issues, respectively, while games like SOCOM, Uncharted, and Heavenly Sword got reamed, and their issues weren't nearly as bad (texture pop in in Uncharted, for example, only occured on rare occassions, and usually after loading a saved game - framerate issues in Heavenly Sword were EXTREMELY rare, but quite prominent in games like Mass Effect and Fable 2).
it's simply ridiculous that one console is being held to standards far beyond the other consoles.
the Wii doesn't get held to high standards by the hardcore gamers because it's basically a Gamecube 1.5.
the 360 doesn't get held to high standards by the hardcore gamers because it released first, and many a gamer popped their next generation HD Era cherry on the 360 and it's games, and have a soft spot for it.
but the PS3 has to redefine gaming as we know it. every game MUST be AAA, or else the system is a failure.
people seem to forget that the PS2 delivered some of the best games of a generation, but also had a rather large number of sh*t titles, and was bashed incessently by the media during it's first two years on the market. but not even the PS2 received so MUCH hatred. by year three (which we are in NOW for the PS3), the PS2 "it's too expensive," "too difficult to develop for," "doesn't have any worthwhile games," "DVD isn't needed for games, stop shoving a format down our throats, Sony," complaints had all died away.
it seems like the root of this hatred is simple: the gaming media, and the doubters and haters simply can't STAND the fact that Sony was right AGAIN. they were right about the PS1. they were right about the PS2. they were right about the PSP (hey, it's sold over 40 million units worldwide, and managed to crack the Nintendo dominated handheld market for nearly 4 years now. it's a SUCCESS. just accept it and move on, people). and they were RIGHT about the PS3. right about HDMI, right about HDD (thanks for that one, Microsoft - including an HDD in a console was a masterstroke), right about 1080p games, right about Blu Ray.
and it eats the gaming media alive. so much so that they will throw journalistic integrity out of the window, and instead of eating crow and humble pie, they take it out on undeserving games like Heavenly Sword, Folklore, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, and any other game from Sony's first and second party developers. it's sour grapes, and sad.
The Getaway could easily be the Killzone 2 of 2010 or 2011, or whenever Sony decides to unveil it. it could be a huge leap over its predecessors in the same way that Killzone 2 is over its predecessors. by this point, i don't think there should be any doubt about Sony's and it's various developer's commitment to delivering on the Playstation 3's promises to it's consumers.
mainly due to the fact the last few games I bought were Dead Space (cause PS3 was main dev platform), LBP, Resistance 2, and Mirrors Edge (cause PS3 was main dev platform)... but I've also bought in the past few months Gears 2, Fable 2, and Left 4 Dead. I play on Live a lot cause that's where damn near ALL of my friends base is, is on the 360. But Home has helped a lot in me finally meeting up with rad people on my PS3. Regardless of what PS3 does over 360 (and vice versa) system and games wise. I just am in love with the fact that I get to play and enjoy both worlds! and neither system will take my love away from either of them! and the Wii will come out of it's 1 year stay at the box in the closet inn... when Mad World finally releases, lol!
There are great games for every system, playing and enjoying them all makes true gamers!... shame fanboys don't get to appreciate those values!
PS = That was a great read and well written Figboy, Im throwing you a agree and a bubble dude!
FINALLY, a TRUE gamer! I used to be one too, until the RRoD scared me out of it. But I definatly agree that there are great games on all systems and I'll gladly go back to playing 360 games once I can be guaranteed I won't have to put my gaming on hold. Sorry, call it principle, but I'd GLADLY pay premium price for a new box that's guaranteed problem free before I make a free trade in for another broken box. I'm waiting out Jasper for a couple more months to see how it plays out, but hoping for the best.
But anyway, there's SOOO many games on both sides that I've been dying to play, but I was P!SSED AS H3LL when they canceled Eight Days!
we need games like these. After revisiting the spec animation,Eight Days could be fun to play.
As long as they recycle the tech, I don't care what form it takes.. I just want to see those sweet adaptive and ultra-fluid animations in future games.
Would not be surprised to see the Sony teams go back to these 2 games since they have tremendous amount of potential.
Hip Hop Gamer has a website now? He doesnt write blogs? He hires people to write for him? They use spell check? wow. where i have been?
I luv you guys, never checked for this one, gotta say, NICE, reminds me of some Monty Oum ish
Peace
The adorable debut of EyePet at Leipzig Games Convention was quite possibly the biggest surprise of the show. The innovative use of the PlayStation Eye, coupled with one of fthe most adorable creature designs in recent memory, made it one of the most high-profile titles we showcased on our site during the Convention. Although it's still not planned for a release late next year, it benefited from the controversial cancellations of other SCEE games, such as Eight Days and The Getaway.
I think when this game is out and completed
they will announce the getaway and 8 days again
as a hardcore gamer and a fan of getaway since ps2 i really hope they bring the game back, and same gose for eight days. when they release the eyepet start working on it again bcuz i really liked what i saw from eight days and i liked getaway 1/2.
As a hardcore gamer, fuk sony and their need to further annoy me with the loss of 8 days with this kinda crap. How can you even consider trading eight days for this...WTF
You know they did the right thing though. Eyepet has a greater potential of bringing in new gamers than Eight Days or The Getaway ever did (although I wish the games weren't cancelled, just postponed).
As a hardcore gamer i dont care! We have plenty if not 2 many "hardcore" games coming our way, and thats only announce titles of which we know, who knows how many more will be announced in next 6+ months!?
As a PS3 owner i am glad to see something like Eyepet on PS3, it is really refreshing. I dont know if i am going to buy it(most likely not), have to see more of it but still it is very cool with MASSIVE potential!
What about 8 days? We know nothing about that game, maybe it sucked. My guess is that Sony invested far to much money in 8 days and getaway and there was no positive result. Also Yoshida stated that no online mode was one of the reasons why those 2 games were canned.
Once again there are far to many games that hardcores will like, so please stop with overreacting about NOTHING!
I dunno, I think this looks pretty cool and since they specialize in these types of things I bet it will come out pretty sweet like. That monkey looks awesome by the way.
as a hardcore gamer I was sad when Sony announced that 8 days was canceled, however I am excited by Eyepet and its amazing technology, I cant wait to try it.
I would rather have Eight Days and Getaway than this. I blame Nintendo and the Wii.
I'm sure this is good news for some, but the hardcore gamer in me screams F**********!!!!
Define the term hardcore gamer. I always thought hardcore gamers were the people who played ALL types of games including those viewed as casual. If being hardcore means playing Halo and Gears and thinking those are the best games ever created, I would have abandoned gaming a long time ago.
I simply can't understand.(this is not personal) Everyone is complaining about the over-abundance of shooters and when they decide not to make one, people cry foul? WTH? I am one of those people who enjoyed Nintendogs greatly and believe me, according to my own definition of hardcore, I am really really hardcore. People who believe hardcore players are only those who play shooters and other types of games involving violence and gore are mistaken.
The real hardcore are out there, looking for new, fresh concepts and I can say that Eyepet sounds very very interesting to me. As interesting as 8 Days. People who think that this is crap are unfortunately pretentious and lack a little culture.
Eyepet was NOT the reason 8Days was canceled. Don't try and spin that ( again a general idea, not personal) as if it was the sole reason. HOME is also in the works at the London studio and at this point in time, it is their priority.
I agree, but there is a flaw in your statement. Eyepet is not a casual game, in fact it's not really a game. Just like Chia Pets or Nanopets they're not games.
And XHairs, yes, indeed, it came to my mind while writing this comment that Eyepet was not really a game. From the info that filtered, we are right now legitimately able to think of it as a super evolved Tamagotchi. However, I still think that they will implement some future, let's say 'mini-games' in it that would allow us to qualify it as a 'casual/game'. One thing I know is that I have always appreciated Eyetoy games and Singstar and Eyepet has certainly caught my attention.
yeah i can see the queues now, this will sell a damn few consoles, im sure its not just my sister thats been wanting for a new tamogochi!
@Harry
Excellent comment its games like Nintendogs that make the DSlite a huge seller for children and like LBP this game will be an excellent selling point for the parents who think that the PS3 is just for shooters and RPGs type games with all sorts of violence that they don't want there children to play thus 1 of the main reason the Wii and DS are selling like hotcakes. Bubbles for you!!!!
Although its sad to hear any game get cancel but games get canceled all the time this is not the first or last to be in this predicament.
@Tomonobu
Eyepet: low cost, funny, attractive, can touch a wide public, perfect for casuals that love Tamagotchi / Sims. Flawless victory.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
@Figboy
at least EyePet is trying to do something innovative (something Nintendo get's routinely praised for, though, in my opinion, with the Wii, they have yet to actually deliver that "revolution" they were proclaiming, or even a HINT of that revolution), and while having 8 Days and The Getaway be delayed sucks, what did we really know about those games besides the title (and the previous Getaway games?)
I always find a lot of your comments very long but I do try to read them because most of them are very logical reads the comment above says it all props to you
Doesnt mean they canceled it completely. I am sure they will bring it back since eight days looked awesome. Maybe they did it to give those games more time to be worked on since sony has so many other huge titles being worked on aswell.
[UPDATE] CVG states that "A Sony UK representative assured CVG that both titles had been "completely cancelled", and so will not be rescued from the bin at a later date."
u m may look at it as crap but dont foret this gen there are more causal gamers than last gen,the wii is eating all of them up so i can see y sony is bringing out a game like this.....but i still agree with u...bring back 8days/getaway 2.!!
They can bring it out if they want...but at the expense of eight days. Screw that. I'm all for casual stuff and all but how much resources can eyepet be taking that it will eat away from eight days development
sonarus is right, WTF I would rather have 2 games rather than just the one however dro has a point. In the end I hope they bring both of the games back, cos Eightdays brought innovation in gameplay and so has eyepet so either way its a win - win for buyers. i dont know about getaway they never released much news about it :)
you gotta think long term right now.
my kid loves this eyepet & already has ideas of what he wants to do with
the game.
Innovation at its finest.
Canadianguy you made me laugh out loud when you said "hotel"
hey, can anybody tell me if that card game on psn is any good?
the one that uses the ps eye. I forget the name but the monsters
come to life & battle, kinda pokemon, yugio?
thanks
you mean Eye of Judgement?
it's sorta niche... so if your into that kind of thing then yeah go ahead
erm why? it's logical
all those games are/were being made by London Studio- the less games they are working on, the more they can concentrate on the games they ARE working on
it's common sense... are you saying you have none?
I was never interested in Eight Days. But The Getaway was a different story. An open world game taking full advantage of the Playstation 3 would have been phenomenal.Hopefully Sony looks at this project again and reconsiders development.
Especially after all the amazing tech demos, but if GTA V is PS3 exclusive then there's probably little reason to make Getaway. Hopefully the project is revived at a later date though.
Atleast they shouldn't can the franchise all together. I mean you guys are busy with other projects, keep the two titles on hold. Finish what you are doing now and then move on to these games.
getaway and 8 days are both coming along fine for both ps3 and xbox360 what i heard from close source
my close source told me the getaway was a crap game that was never coming out...has for 8days lol real time game play lulz
First part Sony Intellectual Properties on the XBOX 360? Now I recognize my dear PP. For a few moments I thought you were not being serious. But the fact that you are incapable of producing such as thing as 'sarcasm' with your 'superior intellect' quickly doused my fire.
no one is better than me, and my resources(which he is a big boss bot) told me MS is exiting the gaming industry if 360 fails like last time and that 360 could be the last console they make, along with halo and gears of war!! me and my other fellow bots were angry about that so we r making a petition to change MS mind and give them some kind of deal that they can steal even more money and charges for even more things just so MS stays in the gaming industry and so we could lough so hard on the droids for 360 not exiting the gaming industry even after being distinct 3rd!!
stay tuned for the results of this petition and Ms response to me!!
Mr Bot
i would have preferred the get away and eight days over Eyepet... but ok i guess
Quickly get out a game that has MUCH more mass appeal. Imagine McDonalds including free costume codes for the EyePets in their Happy Meals. Next thing you know, MILLIONS of children nagging to their parents "I want a PS3, I want an EyePet!" Give it a week and you will see PS3's flying off the shelves. There are more children to be turned into PS3 buyers than there are adults buying a PS3 for 8 Days or the GetAway.
I for one have a 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl, this game and LBP are going to force me into buying a second PS3 just for the kids. (and their own BluRay player too)
I have NEVER owned more than one of the same console ever. This will be the first...it will be PS3.
Very smart Sony, VERY smart!
I not only will quote you on it but add my name to your quote :) This is the type of game that not only Japan will go gaga for but everyone with a child. As a new parent and an uncle, they are going to love this type of game when they are over. It keeps kids busy while growns up talk :)
I am willing to wait in line for this type of game. Actually I'm going to buy Eye Toy with the Eye of Judgement game! Go Sony!
exactly, btw dont get eye of judgement. its a game where you play it for 2 days then you stop. Happened to me, but it is quite fun playing with friends but the time teaching them is quite annoying.
@ above
i highly doubt this is it..
bleurgh... leaves a bad taste in my mouth
if Sony don't re-start work on Eight Days within the next year i swear i will publicly take a sh!t on a copy of EyePets on launch day
The Getaway: potential risk of failure since even if it's a sandbox game, it does not have the popularity of a GTA or Saints' Row. Cost much money.
Eight Days: since the only video we saw was CGI (lol @ HUD), it would be quite hard to give a render and a gameplay nearby what we saw (alternating cut-scenes, contextual actions and gameplay would be spectacular but horrible to play).
Eyepet: low cost, funny, attractive, can touch a wide public, perfect for casuals that love Tamagotchi / Sims. Flawless victory.
Go straight in Hell, you bunch of money eaters.
From a gamers perspective some people may feel this is a bittersweet accomplishment for Sony (mainly those who really wanted Eight Days and The Getaway)
But from a business perspective, this was a smart move on Sony, just as long as they bundle this game with the PS Eye and market it wisely to get those kids seeing this game, and as one said above, to start nagging their parents "MOOOOMMMM DAAAADDDDDD I WANT A PLAAAAYSTAAATTION THREEEEEE PLEEEEAAAAAASSSEEE"
Exactly! You've seen that parents were willing to buy a Wii for ONE game (Wii sports). With the right price, parents will be willing to buy a PS3 for ONE game and possibly use it as a Blu Ray player. Can't go wrong :)
wii sports was aimed for the whole family, you really think granddad joe really gives a fcuk about a virtual monkey?
Whenever Sony cancelled The Getaway on the PS3, I was VERY disappointed because I own both Getaway games on the PS2 and loved the hell out of them. I know that The Getaway games got pretty average reviews, but they were still special to me regardless. I hope that Sony plans on bringing it back sometime in the PS3's future.
That the technology developed for them filtered into a lot of other games, including ones we already own. There was at least some benefit.
you maybe right but it would be much better to see those games running as well
i work for London studios, and we are still working on 8DAYS and GA3, there'll be more info on both games soon, some time during the 3Q of 2009
8days and Getaway3 we not canceled/postponed for Eyepet. London studio is Sonys biggest studio. PSeye games are made by a completely different set of devs, on a different floor.
Eyepet had to be made its one of those "important" games as far as furthering the uses of technology and the appeal of the IP to non-gamers.
we only saw tech demos and target renders of both 8 Days and the Getaway, so i don't see why we should get upset about a "non-game."
i mean, are Motorstorm: PR, Little Big Planet, Fat Princess, Crash Commandos, SOCOM: Confrontation, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, God of War 3, MAG, DCUniverse Online, inFamous, Heavy Rain, Team Ico's game, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, White Knight Story, and quite a few more top notch games not good enough?
i personally liked the first Getaway game, and i'd like to see more in the series, but i don't think the games are outright canceled. just postponed until development of other games picks up.
i think some of you need to sit back and view this from a business perspective.
EyePet won't see release until late 2009. probably November/December, just in time for the holidays.
i'm assuming that if Sony doesn't initiate a price drop by years end to $300-$350, they will do it next year.
a $300 PS3 puts it at only $50 more than a Wii, and you suddenly have an application like EyePet that will have children pestering their parents to no end until they break down and buy that $300 Playstation 3 and EyePet.
even if The Getaway and 8 Days were still in development, WHEN, exactly, do you think it would see release, looking at Sony's so far revealed 2009 lineup?
and not only that, but do you think a game like The Getaway and 8 Days would get a family of four (Mother, Father, Son, Daughter), to rush out and buy a PS3 for Christmas?
there are plenty of games to appeal to the hardcore gamer demographic for the next few months and well into all of 2009.
the Playstation 3 is slowly dropping to a mainstream price. the included Blu Ray player and Web Browser (to name only a few features), will certainly get across the "value" proposition to a family looking to step into this HD generation (my theory is presuming that the family has purchased an HDTV in preparation for the move to digital signals early next year), and a PS3 would be the proverbial "fun for the whole family" device, and well within their budget that spending limit of a mainstream family ($300 for a games console slash Blu Ray player is a bargain, any way you slice it, and it has internet access too? please).
i wouldn't get my panties in a bunch if i were some of you guys. The Getaway and 8 Days will simply see release a little later than expected. afterall, the PS3's estimated life span, judging by the PS1 and PS2, is at LEAST 6-8 years, and there's plenty of great exclusives and multi-platform titles to appease the hardcore gamer.
hell, how many of us can actually afford ALL the games on our must buy lists anyway? my PS3 list ALONE (not including 360 and PSP titles; they have their own lists), consists of 30 games. ALL releasing THIS YEAR. my budget can only afford 10 of them at the most. so i'll be catching up on this years crop well into NEXT year, when MORE games come out, meaning most of THOSE will get pushed down on my list also.
at least EyePet is trying to do something innovative (something Nintendo get's routinely praised for, though, in my opinion, with the Wii, they have yet to actually deliver that "revolution" they were proclaiming, or even a HINT of that revolution), and while having 8 Days and The Getaway be delayed sucks, what did we really know about those games besides the title (and the previous Getaway games?)?
i was really looking forward to 8 Days, personally, but there are too many other games to get excited about NOW, rather than "non-games" that won't see release until well beyond 2009.
Too bad. I thought Eight Days looked pretty damn good. I guess it was just another one of those fake videos to spark interest. Sony is known for showing fake gameplay clips.
So far, EyePet looks decent and could be a huge seller for casual crowb but 2 hardcore games being cancelled in favor of a casual title? Those pets better be really cute and interactive.
I can't believe I clicked this article. The writer adds nothing new to what we already know. Didn't bother updating anything with Sony London or Sony themselves. No new information was giving. Don't waste your time reading this article.
I still think London Studio is one of the most under utilized yet most capable devs in the industry. Whether its Sonys duing or their own decision to only focus on peripheral based games and smaller projects, i really wish they would get/take a shot at a flagship title
They need to reboot it and really put a lot of thought into it
Do it the right way and this could be Sony's Grand Theft Auto if they wanted.
The UK has tons of cities to visit aswell. London, Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne etc
Please!!! Just stop!! Next.
getaway and 8 days - i was very interested in both.
