While there's been a big resurgence of Marvel games as of late — with last year's excellent Spider-Man from Insomniac Games, the recent news of Iron Man VR coming to PlayStation VR exclusively, and the return of Marvel Ultimate Alliance — the games all share one big thing in common: they're not canon with the MCU. They are unique takes on the Marvel properties, nothing tying them to the famous faces we recognize on the big screen

Rooster is a story-rich casual puzzle adventure game developed by Sticky Brain Studios. Players will explore a hand-drawn world with filled with a variety of activities from cooking, finding hidden objects, paper crafting, and more to tell a rewarding tale about love and family. Rooster is coming to consoles and PC (Steam) in Q1 2025.
Because it’d be terrible. Movie license games tend to be rushed. Only few are great when they coincide with a movie’s release
I’d rather the games continue doing their own thing. I found Insomniac’s first crack at the Spiderverse to be so much better than Homecoming and what I’ve seen of Far from Home. Holland’s “yes Mr Stark, please Mr Stark, love me Mr Stark” is insipid. The Peter/Otto dynamic was much more dignified.
Because there don't need to be there need to be more games like Spiderman (2018), have each of the games be their own thing.
They opted for Marvel non CU games with exclusives deals with Sony/Nintendo and shaping up to be the best choice.
