Says dev ,gtfo gamingidiots!

lxeasy2284d ago

Lets hope they sony changes there stance on crossplay with ps5. So many devs and gamers want it.

Redemption-642284d ago

I personally don't care about cross play, but I find it very interesting these so called devs and gamers didn't want or care about cross play when Sony was leading the charge and even now, magically forget Sony still has far more cross play games than both MS and Nintendo. But who cares about facts, when you can lie to yourself Sony is anti cross play in order to deal with reality

timotim2284d ago

It has to or they will run the risk of missing out on games.

On another note. Why does GamingBolt always make these types of articles?? Can't they cover everything these devs said in one news story.

2pacalypsenow2284d ago

No publisher in their right mind will "not" release a game on the most popular console because crossplay.

timotim2284d ago

Oh I'm not suggesting they would do that for the PS4...I agree with you there...they would be out of their minds.

rainslacker2284d ago

What games? What developer will not release their game on a system because it lacks cross play....besides maybe Square Enix with FFXI and FFXIV? SE didn't want to divide it's player base, but most publishers don't care about that, and most games don't really require an unfractured player base.

Face the fact that while some may want cross play, the extreme vast majority aren't going to be basing their release plans off of it. That's just a bad way to run business, and they aren't going to sell more games by taking a stand on principal.

timotim2284d ago

We will see...but I definitely see it happening.

Blastoise2284d ago

These articles are getting stupid. I've never even heard of this dev, his game or his team. Why do they keep going out of their way to interview random people on cross-play and literally nothing else?

rainslacker2284d ago (Edited 2284d ago )

What's funny is is because of the way that GB uses these interviews, most people still won't have heard of them, or at least won't care about them.

Pro tip to devs. Don't say something that can be twisted against Sony if you plan to sell your games on a Sony platform. Or MS if that happens to come up. If you upset the PS community, even with an innocuous comment, they will spend more time focusing on what you said negative about Sony, than the game you are making. Even if your intent is good, GB will twist it somehow to be negative.

Another pro-tip....GB doen't care about you or promoting your game. If they ask you questions which aren't even relevant to your game because you don't have MP, or you aren't even releasing on the system in question, then politely decline to answer. For the most part, the gaming community doesn't really care your opinion on the subject, and it's just gets you negative attention from one fan base, and some attention from another fan base who won't even bother to find out who you are before they lay into their attacks.

Razzer2284d ago

Are we still pretending that the gaming industry is so caught up in the need for cross play? Because it just isn't true.

Thundercat772284d ago

How else are they going to attack Sony?

Razzer2283d ago

That's just it. Cross play is food for fanboy console wars.

Says Dev.
Said the Dev.
Mentioned a sweet sweet geneerous Dev.
Yelled the Dev, after finishing his 10th shot of whiskey.
Mumbled the Dev, as he rolled over and went back to sleep.
Screamed the Dev, as he chased the GamingBolt employee out of his front yard.
Giggled the Dev, while he watched the tears flow of a gaming journalist that was desperate to fill his quota of monthly clickbait articles.

CrossPlay interesting idea.

Rematch director says there’s “room for more than one take of football”

In an industry with countless FIFAs, sorry EA Sports FCs, Sloclap’s Rematch is a brilliant arcade football game that feels incredibly unique. Putting players in the shoes of an individual player, the new multiplayer game is essentially Rocket League without the rockets and cars… it’s football.
