Hope it's another shooter like Alien Trilogy. That one was published by Acclaim and Fox Interactive IIRC.

They may be hinting also that Kojima may be involved

Give me isolation 2

Or if it’s not that give me a good Aliens game that could live up to Alien 2 movie. If they do multiplayer approach don’t let it be trash like that gearbox excuse of a game

PaleMoonDeath2006d ago

I saw his post on Instagram also.. Jesus that would be something!!

CorndogBurglar2006d ago

Disney will have full ownership of every Fox movie franchise no later than this time next year. That means this game will likely never see the light of day.

Nitrowolf22006d ago (Edited 2006d ago )

@corn

I doubt they would cancel it

I know they talked about giving alien and predator and other r rated movies a long, possibly forever rest.

But if they were smart, they would continue them only in gaming rather than films.

And if this does look good they’ll get a bunch of backlash if they cancel it
So I’m hoping this is as good as isolation was 💦

CorndogBurglar2006d ago

Disney cancelled that Star Wars 1313 game that looked incredible the second they took over LucasArts.

Not to mention their plans to cancel all Fox-Marvel movies in development when they take over Fox.

So their track record all but confirms that they would cancel this. They have shown in the past that when they take over companies they cancel the projects in development so they can begin working their projects the way they want them done.

RevXM2006d ago

If he is that should be interesting. hopefully he will approach Alien as a horror franchise while dabbling into the corporate shitstorm side of things.

Alien Isolation is really good, and IMO the best use of the IP since the movie Aliens. We have had a few good AVP games, But in terms of true Alien releases not since at least the ps1 game.

If the new game is made in the same vein as Isolation, in other words immersive horror survival game. Ill be very interested. I would be instantly hyped if Creative Assembly made a another one, but lets see how this one pans out. At least Gearbox and Randy is nowhere near this game so at least thats good lol.

Also I clicked on your link and what I took from it is.... Possible reveal of new alien game at the game awards this year? MY BODY IS READY!

Kojima and Aliens , wow

william_cade2006d ago

I hope the rumor is true.

No one should be getting their hopes up over this. Disney bought Fox Entertainment. That means as soon as the Disney-Fox deal is 100% finished, which is expected to happen as soon as the end of this year or early next year, the Alien franchise will then be owned by Disney.

So if they are just now trademarking this, a game will not be anywhere near finished when Disney takes over and chances are they will cancel it.

Alexious2006d ago

Why are you so sure that they would cancel it?

CorndogBurglar2006d ago

@ Alexious

We only need to look at their track record. Star Wars 1313 was in development by LucasArts and looked amazing. But when Disney bought Star Wars / LucasArts they cancelled all projects that were currently under development.

Also, look at Marvel/Fox. There is not a snowball's chance in Hell that Disney will allow all of Fox's current movies in development to see the light of day once they take over. That means that X-Force, New Mutants, and possibly even X-Men: Dark Phoenix are in serious trouble of not being released if Disney takes over soon enough. Dark Phoenix and New Mutants have a chance because they are pretty much finished already. But X-Force is screwed.

The point is, Disney has a history of cancelling projects in development when they take over companies. They would rather release projects they actually made so they can make them the way they want. Not to mention it's no money lost on their part to do that.

hercules_2006d ago

They might be serious about this project, they deserve to be given a chance

Chris_Wray2006d ago

I sincerely hope it's another game by Creative Assembly. Alien: Isolation is a fantastic game.

ClayRules20122006d ago

I hope so too. And agreed. Alien: Isolation was fantastic & had me terrified. Unforgettable & thrilling experience.

mastaleep2006d ago

yes and the anxious moments are the best parts, also the sound design

Concertoine2006d ago

One of the most underrated games this gen. The truth is AAA horror made a comeback years before RE: 7 and not enough people cared.

kltpzyxm2006d ago

Hope it's a continuation of Alien: Isolation. It's probably my favorite game based on the Alien franchise.

Marcello2006d ago

That story is being continued in a comic book due in January 2019. This is going to be something new. You can thank IGN & Gamespot for Isolation`s demise

kltpzyxm2006d ago

Cool, I Wasn't aware of that. Yeah, they were a bit harsh on that game. Still hoping for a true sequel to that game though

bigmalky2006d ago

Comic books can be a buffer between releases, rather than just meaning it's the end of the line.

korgun2006d ago

You think those sites had some sort of vendetta against the developers?

ccgr2006d ago

Interesting, looking forward to more about it

Zeke682006d ago

Hopefully an Alien Isolation-like game for PS5 / PSVR 2.0.

The game is definitely not perfect, but having a well made premium mobile game is definitely a breath of fresh air. I'm glad to hear they are further supporting this game

Garethvk1888d ago

I am looking forward to finally seeing something on the new Alien shooter game. Hopefully on 4/26 if not at E3.
