Review: Firewall: Zero Hour - PS4/PSVR | Pure PlayStation

Pure PlayStation: The 4v4 tactical shooter I wasn't sure we could get in VR is here and it's even better then I dared to hope. Firewall: Zero Hour is the kind of addicting, multiplayer game that keeps gamers coming back for more, and may even move a few PSVR units. Time will tell if this is PSVR's Goldeneye, or just another VR multiplayer game with a dwindling player base. Either way, do yourself a favor and play this game.

I'm interested enough to pick this up

Didnt even know about this game until yesterday, but i am about to go drive 120 miles so i can pick up the closest aim bundle. Im a big mp gamer, and from the user feedback this sounds insane.

This is going to be the game that truly puts VR on the map. Absolutely fantastic game. Love being able to do blind fire around corners at enemies. Most people I've met on there have been good laugh and up for talking with team mates which is really needed for a win. With the aim, it just adds so much more immersion to the game. Maps also made by people who worked on earlier cod games, halo and bf, so really well made. Only issues are connection (host drops, you all drop) and lack of modes but more have been confirmed to be on the way as soon as teething issues are out of the way.
A must buy.

Sleeper hit for Vr it seems. Universal praise? Amazing, just what VR needs going into the holidays.

Firewall Zero Hour was the game that just kept giving. Those guys worked real hard on the game and it was awesome fun.

PSVR2 compatibility? Sequel??

Neonridr607d ago

I'd love a new game for PS VR2.

Watch Sony acquire these guys in the next year.

jukins606d ago

They really need to. They havevthe potential to make a vr gane that catapults vr to mainstream or at least an esports staple. I honestly cant wait to see what theyll do with way more power and a way more capable headset at their disposal

MadLad606d ago

I hope they don't.
This site hates big companies keeping devs and their IP away from people.

You're probably mistaking single studio acquisitions with massive multi-billion dollar publisher acquisitions which include tens of studios and established IPs in just 2 fell swoops.

Firewall Zero Hour: Operation: Rubicon arrives tomorrow

From PS Blog: "Hi all! Damoun Shabestari (aka Shabs) here, game director at First Contact Entertainment — developers behind Firewall Zero Hour*, the team-based multiplayer shooter exclusive to PlayStation VR**.

Since launching nearly three years ago, we have continued to offer our players new content in the form of seasonal operations. I am excited to announce that the seventh season of Firewall Zero Hour will be kicking off July 13, with Operation: Rubicon."

New operation but no new map. Shame.

Should have been putting in more modes and maps into Firewall than creating Solaris. Gamers are barely playing that one. And it just came out.

Solaris is okay, but it's not pulling people from Firewall. Firewall is still a great game.

Also, Alvo seems to have attracted the players Solaris was after. Alvo is really good fun, COD-like, and they have more content on the way, I hear.

There were better prices on the PlayStation Store as regular sales and Christmas time frame. I got Sairento and AC7 for $15 new. And that was physical at Gamestop and Target respectively.

As for Fruit Ninja, I think this is the ONLY price drop I've ever seen for that game. And I still won't buy it at that price. The developers are nonexistent and have kept FN at full price since launch almost 4 years ago. Want to be ninja? Get Sairento. You'll thank me later.

Shop around. You can always get a better deal until you can't.
