DiRT 4 already looks stunning so I am impressed with the enhancements they implemented.

Imp0ssibl32558d ago

No mention of higher resolution though...So it might just be at 1080P. That's not very impressive on Pro unless it runs at rock-solid 60FPS.

LavaLampGoo2558d ago

Been seeing a lot of games doing pro enhancements. Still not sure it justifying buying one but still... everything looks so pretty

AngelicIceDiamond2558d ago

Cool to know Looks like EA is maximizing the Scorpion also http://thisgengaming.com/20...

Nice, too bad Bungie isn't likely to do the same amount of work on each platform.

Aenea2557d ago

If Bungie delivers native 4k at stable 30fps is that enough for you, you think?

or will you and all the other Xbox fans still cry out "parity clause!"?

Condemnedman2557d ago

arena if that's all they can do them fine but if they are stopping at 30fps because of their agreement then that is bad news. it won't bother me as I don't intend picking up destiny anyway

@Condemnedman

I still find it funny that people still think there's a possibility that any dev would be so crazy to accept money for a marketing deal that includes a parity clause!

It's even funnier that people think that a game that runs at 1080p@30fps on X1 can somehow suddenly go to native 4k@60fps on Scorpio. Even if the CPU could handle it (it can't with Bungie's engine), the GPU needs to render 8 times the number of pixels per second more than the X1's GPU.

So yeah, I think they will aim for rock solid 30fps at the highest resolution possible on any console. If it's native 4k (not checkerboard rendered) on Pro than I do hope they add some graphical enhancements on Scorpio since it's the more powerful console after all and can do more...

Honestly, I think it would be better if they used checkerboard rendering of 2160p on both Pro and Scorpio and go all out on the graphical settings!

Bigpappy2558d ago

Dice as optimized Frostbite for DX 12. Most EA game will run high res on Scorpio.

Aenea2557d ago

If Frostbite is using DX12 on X1 or not, their engine always gets the maximum out of every platform, so of course it will run in high resolutions on Scorpio....

(also the Pro will do that, unless you don't think 1800p or checkerboard rendered 2160p is high res. of course....)

"you have a problem with just accepting facts"

I have no issues accepting facts, what I meant was that it doesn't really matter how they do it, their engine is optimised to the hilt on any platform and that it's just a given they will use whatever gives them the best performing and looking engine. If that's DX12 on Win10/X1, then it's in there.

I don't need to provide a link of any kind, Frostbite engine is just a very optimised engine for ANY platform. Get it now?

I think you're a little tense there buddy, seeing things that aren't there, I wasn't going against you or anything, just stating a fact. Nervous about the upcoming E3 huh? Afraid of what will or will not happen I suppose?
It's gonna be okay, Scorpio will look great and you can surely buy one this year and enjoy it, now calm down, alright?

Just rumours tho, altho I can see it happening....

Bigpappy2557d ago (Edited 2557d ago )

Dude you have a problem with just accepting facts. I showed that the developers themselves said that they already added DX12 to the engine. Yet you are telling me that they don't need DX12 because the engine is already optimized. Maybe I should also let you know that they were the first to say that the industry should move to DX12 ASAP back in 2015.

But on a serious note: Are you loosing it? I didn't mention your pro because I wasn't trying to compare . Just letting the guy know that dice engine will easily optimized games for DX12 because they are already optimized for DX12. If that is true for the Pro, that's great. I don't follow pro that closely, but I never heard a thing about it. Maybe you would be kind enough to provide your link.

Sevir2557d ago

Lmfao! Let's just wait for EA to confirm it. This guy said Rockstar would demonstrate RDR2 on Scorpio at E3 only for Rockstar to reiterate that the game they'll showcase will be the PS4 pro version.

Secondly, Battlefront 2 is also being showcased on PS4 Pro this E3... at EA and Sony's Conference.

We all know Scorpio will run games better on consoles, but No Developer is at liberty to talk about it until E3.
