Carrie Fisher, the iconic actress who portrayed Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, died Tuesday following a massive heart attack last week. She was 60.
What very few gamers may realize was that she recorded a handful of lines for the 2012 release of Arkane Studios' first Dishonored game. Her voice was hidden as an Easter Egg – you only heard her if you killed the male propaganda officer in Dunwall Tower during the mission "Return to the Tower." Later in the game you would hear her distinctive voice coming over the public address system telling people not to "interfere with the regular transfer of deceased persons to disposal centers in the Flooded District" or that "any disturbance in the region of Dunwall Tower this evening has been the result of a previously scheduled training exercise."
It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.
There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.
Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.
Dishonored's engaging lore, creative levels, and timeless gameplay are well worth revisiting for fans of the immersive sim and stealth genre.
Daily Video Game writes: "Xbox Store has just kicked off Arkane Studios publisher sale, offering up to 80% off on some of the best games from Arkane Studios, including Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One right now!"
Woo, a celebrity died. I've heard enough from my FB feed. Don't need it on here too.
Don't read it problem solved
