Elder Scrolls V save files won't work for the newly released Special Edition

I tried to load some saves last night and the only thing they had was the official HD texture pack and this caused a warning dialog box and then a crash to desktop. Not too bothered as its been a long time so I really dont mind starting again.
I think Ill stick to the regular version. The SE just have too many problems that need fixing atm.
