Last Horizon is an extremely simple, well executed game from indie developer Pixeljam. The game features a very clear, basic objective. You are a rocket setting off from a dead planet and you must find your way 'home' to a new and living planet. Along the way you must land on other planets to collect resources to terraform your new home and to replenish your supplies of fuel and oxygen.
Games Reviewer reviews Pixeljam Games' Last Horizon. This action/survival game for iPhone, iPad and Android has nice visuals, fun gameplay and simple controls.
The game takes the minimalist trend established by mobile titles like Alto’s Adventure, Monument Valley and Desert Golfing, and pushes it one step further, offering players a deconstructed, deceptively simple planet exploring experience.
The universe is a lonely place. It’s filled with planets and asteroids, black holes and stars, but without other people, it’s just a vast expanse of empty, albeit beautiful, scenery. After the remaining survivor of a dead civilization leaves its desolate, broken planet, the only hope for survival is to find another home. Last Horizon is a journey of second chances through an indifferent but hazardous universe, scavenging what you can to build a new world on Planet X.
