Everything you need to know about Dragon Quest Heroes, out today on PS4

Nine years ago, the Dragon Quest franchise made its European debut back on the PS2 with Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (yes, it really was that long ago!) and this week, the franchise returns to PlayStation! Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below is out now on PS4 in Europe! It’s good to be back!

PS4 is getting some really awesome games this fall/holiday. Always glad to see the Dynasty Warriors team taking an IP and doing it justice.

And to think: there's a contingent here that thinks the PS4 has no games coming out this holiday(surely October counts, right?).

I'm gonna be picking up the Uncharted Collection soon, and probably also Zestiria.

And yet that's exactly what you're doing. It's like you've suddenly forgotten that this is what Sony does: cater to those very few across a wide range of genres and tastes.

I'm looking, and all I see is the same thing for the PS2 and PS3. A handful of AAA titles and a lot of smaller, niche releases.

You're turning into an Xbox fan. Why are you looking at fall only? What happened to the rest of the year? And don't start that BS about what you do or don't like; you're not the only person Sony is catering to. Since when is one person's opinion of the fall games all that matters?

Did you disregard Warhawk cuz it wasn't released in the fall? What about MGS4? Killzone 2? The first inFamous? Heavy Rain, GoW III? Have I made my point yet?

Like it or not, The Order counts. (And I know you REALLY don't like it.) Like it or not, DriveClub counts. The Show and Until Dawn, Killzone, inFamous and Bloodborne all count. And that's without including remasters/remakes.

Your argument holds no weight, because you're expecting Sony to do something they've never done, and getting upset all on your own because of it.

I'm one of those people. This game will satisfy very few. You know what would be great? If I were playing Resistance or GT7 but instead, I'll just settle for Halo 5 and Tomb Raider.

The point is not to bash these niche titles, but to point out that 2 years in a row, Sony has failed to deliver AAA as well as the Dragon Quests. Their big fall game last year was Destiny and this year its....Black Ops 3?

2 years in a row, Sony has delivered more games of all kinds.

The biggest selling titles are bought and played by a minority of the potential install base. The average selling titles are bought and played by a much much lower percentage. No game is for everyone, but Sony does the best job of having something for everyone.

ever hear of the word context? most articles talking about the lack of ps4 games is about the second half of 2015 and high profile exclusives. marketable games that are often used to show off the console. nobody in the media says the ps4 has no games. your only focused on xbox fans. if we were to only focus on sony fans they would tell you all the xbox has is shooters. the same level of ignorance is on display we all know that within the forums. so until people stop treating consoles like sports teams the better we all are in having more reasonable discussions/debates. until then this silly immature feud will carry on which is more about the companies who make the hardware than about how good the games are.

who here sits down and thinks about sony when turning on their ps4? who here thinks about microsoft when they play halo 5 online? once we take away the console war brands we start to enjoy the games. but it appears we still have a select few who love to troll the forums that enjoy this division among gamers.

the ps3 and ps2 had quite a few aaa games, not sure why you feel the need to constantly defend sony's position heading into the second half of 2015. even shu said it's a little sparse. are we really that much attached to our game consoles where we take such things so personal to fight some silly battle online daily? the ps4 is selling extremely well yet you never really appear happy about being a ps4 owner.
