MWEB GameZone writes: "We had the wonderful opportunity to interview Neil Jones, the 3D artist and Co-Founder of Lighthouse Games Studio; creators of Shark Attack Deathmatch 2."
VRFocus - This week saw the launch of a pre-release version of Lighthouse Game Studios’ Shark Attack Deathmatch 2. The title can currently be picked up at a discounted price of £5.31 GBP, boasting a handful of features, with regular updates and content drops expected to be made as it heads towards a full launch. According to the developer, one feature that could well make it into that full release is support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
The name itself is enough to attract attention. When I first noticed Shark Attack Deathmatch featured on the indie page of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, We at The Gamer Scene chuckled and imagined ludicrous, unpolished gameplay–with sharks! What became apparent is that below the surface-level absurdity, SADM is a truly addicting and unique game.
Durban guys can code games :) - Shark Attack 2 is quite fun and worth a look.
Loadshedding sucks for everyone, it however drills constant saving into you. Other than that it sounds like an interesting concept.
TBH... I've never considered how load shedding impacts South African game development.
There are so many talented SA game developers out there and many will sadly come and go without the general gaming public being aware of them and the games they make.
