Battleminer Review - NWR

NWR:
"Novice Craftsmanship

Now that Microsoft’s purchase of Mojang-the maker of Minecraft- is final, the dream of having Minecraft on the 3DS is likely over. However, eShop developers have taken up the flag of creating a game to satisfy Nintendo fans’ Minecraft itch while adding their own ideas to the formula.

Battleminer. Simply put, imitates Minecraft’s premise idea and adds in gunplay. Sadly Battleminer takes two game types with peanut butter and jelly-like blending potential and fails to deliver either type effectively."

Battleminer Review | NLife

NL:
"Mojang's Minecraft, a small indie title that has become a pop culture phenomenon, would seem like a perfect fit for Nintendo platforms, with a large sense of wonder and creative gameplay. Unfortunately, Nintendo is the only major gaming platform without a version of the venerable franchise. At first glance, Wobbly Tooth Games' Battleminer appears to be a low-budget Minecraft clone, but quickly proves to be something simpler and less compelling. A competent but bland exploration/action game, Battleminer will quickly be forgotten about once players realize that they've seen everything the game has to offer after only a few hours."

Review: Battle Miner (Nintendo 3DS) | Digitallydownloaded

DD:
"Battle Miner is a truly appalling piece of work. I appreciate that the Nintendo platforms don't have a version of Minecraft on them yet, and I do understand that Nintendo fans want a version of Minecraft on their preferred console. In that context I understand why a Minecraft clone might be a compelling proposition. What I don't understand is how the developer behind Battle Miner could get it so wrong."

Review: Battleminer (Pure Nintendo)

Pure Nintendo: "The early screenshots and footage showed potential, and refreshingly it’s lived up to it – Battleminer is lots of fun! There are some minor flaws (and no multiplayer as of yet) but nothing to stop me recommending this game. Creative personalities will have much to entertain here. For newbie’s like myself, Battleminer can help you see what all the Minecraft fuss is about. Cube Creator 3D and UCraft will follow in coming months, but Battleminer has set the foundation for Nintendo gamers."
